John, have you changed your TC and ABS assist setting since the race? The only thing i see in common between you and Karl from the race result file is that you both had TC and ABS assist on.
Not sure if that's causing the weird auto braking behavior, like maybe the ABS assist is dragging the brakes somehow?

The global TC and ABS assist are now separate from the in car TC and ABS setup settings. s397 has added TC and ABS to car setup setting pages in garage now, so you can turn off the global TC and ABS assist, and use the in car setup page to control your TC/ABS. It makes it more realistic as TC and ABS should be car dependent, and not mod/global level. You can also dial in the TC at a more fine level with the in car setting instead of the global assist with is kind of heavy handed.

    Hey John.

    Well basically as you said.
at the time i didn't understand it until you mentioned it above.
basically, exiting Eau Rouge, acceleration out it felt like someone else pressed my brakes as i didn't accelerate much, car in front just pulled away.

a lap or so it happened again, this time in Eau Rouge, i freaked out a bit and spun around into the wall.
    car damaged.
    then i cried.......

    1. I know the P2 and GTE do not have ABS in real life, but I put it in because some guys destroy their tires in just 2 laps without it. If you all don't want ABS, let me know.

    2. Damage is set at 50% now.

    3. TC on the server will be off, as you can set that yourself now on track.

    4. It has been brought to my attention that there is a optimized version of this Spa by Formulasimracing. I will test it out to see if we can use that. Same track version, but optimized.
This is the track I'm gonna test: http://www.mediafire.com/file/416sjfxeyq9q219/FSR2018_BELv1.rfcmp
They have run league races on it with big grids, there have been races with this 2017 version and no one had any issues I'm told.
Also they have fixed the track cutting detection, as on the current version from the server, some corners can be cut and an advantage can be gained and in other corners it is very strict.

Hey,I have a sugestion about qualifying. It has been done in another league that I race and works very nice.A separadet grid,10 minutes Protos,10 Gts.It's good because both classes not need to worry about the other and everyone get their proper time set.At the begining the session the admin says p2 green, after 10 minutes,GT green. If you already open a lap at 10' you can complete. That's it.By the way,I hope there's no chat during qualy and race when the championship starts.Anyway, just my two cents!

I agree with seperated quali. Ive also ran in another multi-class league and they seperate quali as well. Works very well.

When SRO was born we run separate qualifying then for the enduracers mod, I do like it that way for multiclass.

I like the idea also. But we need clear rules about it, how the procedure will work.

What do you mean with "heavy"?

So, guys, what we gonna decide about the ABS? Is very important to know, because it makes a huge difference for the Oreca if it is on.
As I said, I prefer all aids on the server off.

If I may suggest. Set the quali to 30 minutes. Have a 5 minute grace at the start, first class gets the track opened to them at 25 minutes remaining. Any lap started before the 15 minute mark gets to be completed. Another 5 minute grace for laps to be finished before the other class having the track for the remaining 10 minutes.

    Just a suggestion of course.

In the server settings screen for the championship it does list auto clutch and ABS as allowable aids. If turned off, can us GTE drivers still control it via the car tune?

  16. Angelo dos Santos

    Angelo dos Santos Pro Driver

Yes. GTE drivers have TC and ABS on car tune.

No, GTE cars only have TC and engine mode settings in car.
    They don't have ABS.
In my opinion that's why it should be disabled on the server.

There is no ABS setting for P2 and GTE only TC. If the server turns off ABS and TC, you can only set TC from within the car, not ABS because the cars don't have it.

  19. Angelo dos Santos

    Angelo dos Santos Pro Driver

    Ops! My bad.
Indeed no ABS, neither to GTE or LMP2.
And I agree. No aids allowed on server settings. Only the ones you can tune on your car.

With server ABS on, the nature of the LMP2 changes quite a bit. It becomes almost too easy brake really really late.

    ABS setting on the server

I have tried the P2 without ABS and the car becomes very unstable, the brakes bite too much. Even when correcting speed through a corner.
The server will be set for "ABS low" as a maximum. People who don't like to drive with ABS on can choose to turn it off with F9.
(TC will be off on the server)
