hi guys. anyone knows how to enter pits in this track? I mean if you are already on track, and need to repair car or clear the penalty you can't do it because there are no pits behind the pit line.
There is no pit wall separating the track from the pits. This track in 1966 only had a line between the final straight and the pits like this: So you just call for a Pit-stop and take it in your Pitbox as normal.
Chances are that at this track if you crash, the car will be toast so you won't need the pits anyway, you will need a hospital Regards, Bret
@Ken Jagger - so, what do you mean by "call for a pit" can I trigger this manually? because If I just drive behind the line, there is no pit place marked by arrow as on your image. @Bret Metcalf - definitely agree . personally, I would newer drive it in reality. drivers at that times had to be mad with no bit of self-preservation
Hi Patrik, I think when Ken says "call for pit" he means you have a button assigned on your controller which you press to "Request Pit". You assign the button in the settings section of rF2. Regards, Bret
ah ok actually I tried to find something like this but it showed only information about tires, fuel amount and repair options. I'll look at that again, maybe I just missed my pit box. Unfortunately it seems that I will be unable to participate in this race. I like the series so much, but my family don't understand my passion to it at all . Hopefully there will be more time after holidays ended and everything will be again in "standard" mode at home
For all you racing enthousiasts, here a little info on the track your about to drive: http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/08/spa-francorchamps-temple-speed/
In addition to extending both the Qualifying sessions to 10 mins, the normal SRO No ESC on track in Qualifying rule will be suspended for this race.
Video is up, everyone! Congrats to Mazurek for winning the championship and thanks everyone for tunning in to the stream and to the race!
Well...Both of my races in total time lasted approximately 45 seconds...Race 1 I found myself at the start in a sandwich, collided & retired with suspension damage before getting to T1. Race 2 was a lot better, was giving room to Peter at T5 I think and ended up running wide and crashing. Not seen the broadcast yet, will watch that this evening.... many thanks to Matheus & Alex, I enjoy the way you do the commentary, the comments & banter etc...very well done. Congrats to Michal for taking the championship. Hope we get another Historic F3, F2 or F1 series. Thank you also to the admins for this series. Regards, Bret
Q1: A decent lap put me P3. I don't know where Peter's lap came from, though... R1: I thought me and Peter (My brother) were going to have a cracking duel for P1 when I found us 1-2 on the first lap, but I made a mistake while trying not to get slipstreamed, and I had a large accident. Although I never directly hit anyone, I'm sorry for the carnage that ensued behind me. To be honest, I was pretty gutted. Q2: P1 for a long time, until Michal managed to pull something special out of the bag and put me P2. R2: INCREDIBLE fight with Jacob and Michal. Absolutely amazing. My highlight was passing Michal on the inside of Malmeady near the end. I found that I could pass people in the corners, but my straight line speed was lacking (Possibly as a result of racing the Spark rather than the Eve) which explains why I touched Michal in La Source once, because I could brake so much later than him. Still, apologies about that. It was a shame to see Jacob crash, but me and Michal continued to fight right until the end when I made a mistake and dropped to third. To be honest, that's pretty gutting, because I know I could've passed Michal at La Source if I hadn't gone off. Oh well. I thoroughly enjoyed this whole season. I really wish I could've made every round and challenged for the championship, but I'm happy to have done what I did anyway. My two wins at Spielberg were actually the first two league race wins of my life, so I am thrilled with how it went. I will never forget my awesome race with Michal in race 2 at Spielberg, and I'm glad the championship went to him in the end. @Michał Mazurek , you're a tough competitor and you deserved that title. I hope to battle you again soon. Also, thanks to everyone at Sim Racing Online for hosting this league. I've loved it.
Made a last minute attempt to race. Wasnt feeling well. To be honest, I regret. Both races were a disaster. Anyway, I never started this series from the beggining. But I hope we can repeat it in the future and I can have the chance to start from Round 1. Cheers.
