    I didn't say we wouldn't and that's John's choice anyway, I was only making an observation :)

But Alex ... we are running this mod right now :p. I just don't plan on running it back to back or it will get old. SRO is doing 6 races then take a break of a few months and then run them again (if the interest is still there).

I got a stop and go after the very first cut. It happened at the first chicane on the first straight. I hit the brakes and could not stop in time to turn so I went straight through the gravel. I did pass someone, Pablo I think but I did give the position back but that didn't matter.

Not sure how to read the logs, but my looks like this and I pretty sure I missed the chicane once as well.

But, if I look in other race logs, pre-cuts doesn't seem show up, maybe its more info in the server logs.

There was an thread at 397, and according to that it's an penalty after the 3rd cut, and then after each cut.
This setting, as of my understanding, can not be changed at the moment and should behave the same offline.

Normally, the system is setup in such a way that you only get a warning for cutting the track if you gain time.
So if you slow down enough it should not be an issue.
For me this did not work however because I went wide in T1 (Courbe Dunlop) and went straight through the gravel past T2 & T3 (Ralentisseur Dunlop) without a chance to slow the car down. So yea, this is definitely more trick when the track is wet and best is not to go too fast.

That is an interesting chart, Jens. Thanks for sharing that. I can only remember 2 cuts and getting 2 penalties. Not sure where the other 2 came from. After reading the article Ken posted I think I understand why I was given a penalty immediately. As I hit my brakes and my car felt like it was sliding or hydroplaning, I let off the brakes and coasted through the gravel. I did not touch my brakes again thinking that I might spin the car if I did. Once I was on the track again I slowed to let a driver that I passed regain his position ahead of me. So the lesson learned here is to stay on the brakes no matter what and slow my car as much as possible.

Hi folks, Been a mighty long time ( and a lot of golf in our hot summer ! ) however having bought 144hz screens and a renewed desire to race found this series.

Grabbed all the content and got online after you all Sunday night, Oreca feels very nice so some practice to do to match the lap times on live timing and look forward to the race.

    Cheers

Check your key mappings, don't think there is any server setting for fuel. I was able to adjust my fuel intake amount on the starting grid. Did you get a stop and go or drive through penalty? You're not allowed to change fuel if serving a penalty.

Re: freeezes - Are you on nvidia GTX9xx series card Simon? I used to get screen locks in rF2 in certain tracks until i read a thread on the ISI boards that GTX9xx series cards were locking up with rF2 (mostly on 3rd party tracks) due to nvidia's power saving feature. Something to do with the firmware and conflicts with rF2.
It would reduce voltage on the cards when it sensed a split second dip in GPU usage, and when it did that, rF2 would freeze up (screen and sound) and be unable to recover, requiring Ctrl/Alt/Del to kill the process.
In fact, Lemans was one of the reported tracks where it would happen, and the track maker himself was the one that identified the issue as he had a GTX980 and spent like a month troubleshooting the issue.
If you are on GTX9xx series, make sure you use something like GPU Tweak or Afterburner and lock in the min and max voltage to a single clock speed so it can't reduce voltage on you. Once i did that, I haven't had any screen locks in rF2.

Another option is to use nvidia profile inspector and adjust power settings to maximum performance for rF2, i'm not on an 9xx series but this could also be availible thru the nvidia control panels application specific settings. can be done on all nvidia cards, not just the 9xx series to reduce this behavior

As I wrote from my mobile and mixed them up, the power management should be maximum performance

It's also available thru nvidia control panel 3D settings, but you might need to add rF2 manually (I use the inspector as I need to set SLI setting as well)

There are 6 red lights (= waiting list) in GTE.
Please remember to un-register if you can't make the race.

    Max P2 = 13 drivers
    max GTE = 19 drivers
