Being thick here, but cannot find the .plr file anywhere? Where was yours thanks.

 

In the player folder within the rfactor directory.

*\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\player\

 

ok thanks I was looking for a .plr file when mine is actually called player.json

Damn! Only just catching up with these forum posts and I missed the test race. My fault but is it possible to send emails out for these test races rather than burying the info in a forum post?

Currently my rig is in pieces but I am hoping to get it back together for the race but testing will be minimal for me. In fact why am I sat here watching F1 when I should be painting.

 

Did the test race have day to night transition?
Can you just confirm whether day night transition is in or out for the race?

 

Damn I need glasses didn't see it.

 

I have to withdraw my entry for the rest of this series.
When I signed, I had some health issues, that I had hope to be solved by now.
Unfortunately, turns out this is not the case.

I wish everyone luck and fun. And hope to comeback in the near future.

Doing a race today to test stability - I’ve ditched GeForce experience which I think was causing me problems

I may not be able to make the race this Sunday. My Grandmother passed away this morning, so there is lots of family stuff happening this weekend. If I am unable to make it I will try my best to unregister from the race on Sunday before the grid gets locked.

 

@Angelo dos Santos I suffered the loss of my father 2 weeks ago which was the mantle in my life.
Hope you can get yourself well as soon as possible, I send my blessings and energy, sim racing has been my salvation.

Something weird just happened... when the session changed to race on the server my computer started to stutter badly, almost froze, which is weird, because rF2 isn't heavy on it at all. I don't know if it is related to the fact that I was on wifi (I've been practicing for years on it during the night, 3AM here, but racing on the cable , obviously) or some energy fluctuation. But I wanted to know if someone has experienced something like that.

PS: sorry Barrett for leaving you with no answer, I had to quit at that time, it's got so slow.

I'm always on wifi, I also have a wifi repeater to boost signal as my PC is far away from the hub. On pc side I have bought wire extensions for antenna so they are well spaced.
Its important that between your hub pc and repeaters there is no electrical noise to interfere. Ontop of this I modified the settings of my onboard wifi to operate twice as fast using 2 channels at once from a guide I found online.
But to be honest this does not sound like your problem perhaps a plugin if it occured on session change. Do you have a plugin that outputs data enabled?

Hey John you do know no penalty is issued if you fly over the gravel before entering the pits on the mini S. How is that going to be policed you can gain 3-5 secs there.
