I've downloaded the cars and track for the race but I'm still getting a "Package not available" when I try to join the server. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Means you have not got something the server has usually cars or track? I take it you subscribed to the cars and then put the track in, I will download track and try and get on the server.
Ed can you select the March 761, Brabham BT44B and Silverstone 88 in any combination for offline use?
Yes. I've been practicing with the '76 March on the Silverstone 88 track from the F1 1988 track pack.
Try going into the rF2 Go into the rF2 Launcher Packages screen, uninstall and delete the vmod SRO Historic F1 R3 then rejoin the server and it will download the vmod again.
I don't have the vmod SRO Historic F1 R3 in my packages. Edit: I do have a Sim Racing Online F1 1988 Round 3.
Server has Brabham 2.04 but steam version was updated to 2.06 and we can't download previous version from server
That could be the problem Ed. It's too late to rebuild the server for this race, but we'll use the latest version for the next race.
Atleast it's clear now why the collision bug was still there If you guys want a clean deletion of the 2.04 version, uninstall all vmods that contain the brabham first and afterwards descrubscribe and then subscribe again to the Brabham on the Workshop. You shold then only have 2.06 left after that.
Our next race in this series will be using the v2.06 of the Brabham, so we shouldn't have any problems going forward
I think you missed the important fact that you'd knocked your rear-left wheel off. I can't believe you didn't notice.
A bit of a disappointment for me today. P - I realised that I absolutely love this track. I felt confident, I felt quick and I felt excited. - P1 Q - Set two dodgy laps where I was slightly too cautious, and then didn't back off enough before my last flying laps and got stuck behind Ken. This was my fault, and it cost me my pole streak. Well done, Dino. - P2 R - I got a good start and led the race for two corners... Until I forgot about my cold brakes and slithered to the back of the order. This is highly irritating, as I did exactly the same thing on the opening lap at Imola. I need to be steadier on the opening lap. After that, I enjoyed fighting back through to 2nd place, but I was no match for the consistent speed set by @Dino Paolini , who deserves that win. Well done Dino. I look forward to putting up more of a fight in the second half of the season. - P2 So, at the half way point in the season, me and Dino are tied for 1st in the points standings. This really could go either way in the second half of the season.
