    I think that was the thing that surprised me so much when I first tried it. It was my previous computer and I could run it on max everything without trouble. Quite amazing. I know it's a DX9 game but even so the visuals and sound are top class. I love the track details on max, with the moving marshals, and crowds. A nice touch.

    Such a shame they lost the DTM license. Would be great to have the final few years of the current cars.

    Not sure if I could improve my time, maybe half a second or so but that's it.

    I had a good time. There was a discernible response when I toyed with the fuel load and the differential values. I fooled around with the anti-roll, camber, springs, and wings, but my experience with those things, it was not so responsive. Still, I was just learning the track so... I gained maybe half a second when I tried the auto transmission. Good audio/video for me, and ping times were on par for my connection speed, no warping cars or anything like that. But I couldn't find the chatbox, if there was one. I wish I could have asked some questions with the drivers who were present when I was on.

    Once you are in the car, press the "T" key and that's the chat box, you'll see a cursor at the top of the screen.

    You can also assign a button on the wheel to the chat key if you like.

    The Chat system is one of the weakest parts of this Sim unfortunately. You can only see it when you are in the car and it doesn't show a sequential record of the chat like rF, rF2, AMS or AC. Maybe the best solution is to use Teamspeak for this Sim?

    The intention was to be able to post the lap times recorded in today's practice, but no results files were created from the Practice Session. I think maybe R3E only produces these files for Qual/Race as we did get some from a previous test using those sessions.

    As a comparison I noted the following lap times when I was on the server today:
    Joao Sousa - 1.06.684
    Csaba Lako - 1.05.1xx
    Ken Jagger - 1.05.535

    I'll set a Practice server to run on Thursday 11th Oct as planned, to allow members to try the sim out without any pressures. To get some event results for checking, next week we'll run two test races:

    Monday 15th Oct 19:00 BST Raceroom Raceway Bridge
    Qual 19:00
    Race 19:15
    Distance 30 mins

    Tuesday 16th Oct 21:00 BST Raceroom Raceway Bridge
    Qual 21:00
    Race 21:15
    Distance 30 mins

    For ease of testing there will be no need to register, just turn up for the race using the SRO default server password.
    Server name will be SRO R3E Test Race

    I think I hit a 1:05.3+
    The fastest time I saw was Marius with a 1:03 something

    Is this the time from the Raceroom Leaderboards? I think that time from Marius was not done on our server, it's from a couple of years ago. Still VERY fast though :)

    Yeah I think you are right. When I was on the server I was in the mid to low 5's and Mariusz set a 1m 3's, that was before I got on there.

    I think I saw a 3.8 when I was looking at his lap times. Pretty impressive stuff. I was with him (just about) in first and third sectors but over a second behind in sector 2. Mighty quick.

    @Ken Jagger I keep getting an error every time I try and register for the Monday event?

    I've noticed your icon is red in the entry list, is the event barring anyone from joining? Could be the system I'm using, will try again at home later :)

    Open test session tomorrow Thursday 10th Oct

    To get around the problem with R3E not producing a results file for Practice sessions, I've set the test server as a 6hr Qualifying session, which will record lap times :)
