Can't make this race as it clashes with F1 race.

Ran some laps on the server last night, had no issues at all.

Honestly, I hope the track does not change as I just got this track figured out and feel confident here. Id hate to have to learn another track by the weekend (never ran Malaysia before) as my free time this week is rather limited. On the other hand, I wouldn't want anyones race to be at risk due to performance issues.

There is another version of Bahrain out there, would using the other version be a possible option VS switching to a different track?

I don't know of any other Bahrain. Lets first hear what others have to say. If there are no more reply's, the track will stay.
I also didn't have any issue's with fps or stutters.

Im only assuming there is a different one because of how the track is in the server list. The SRO server says Bahrain 2014 while others just said Bahrain or Bahrain GP. Listed differently made me assume they are different versions.

No, I use the alternative discription :).
We can't change the track based on 2 members reporting issue's. At least half the field has to report problems to have some sort of majority to change.

Ahhhh, that would explain it then.

I agree. I did have some small issues on our test server the other day, but it was only once and for a very brief moment through turn 9/10 and then went away, and couldn't replicate it with hours and hours of testing there.

I did about an hour of practice offline on saturday, with 20+ AI, and it was fine for me. (i race with Anti alias turned off though, not sure if that's what's causing the issues for John and Cody. A lot of non ISI/s397 tracks have horrendous issues with anti aliasing because they are badly or not optimized at all.)

Unless already noted, the author recommend to run this track with Post Effects None as it's not in it's final stage.

I know of two other Bahrains. One has multiple layouts and one is a updated version of the one we are running but it's a gp series track. Has there banner in the loading screen so we prob couldn't use anyway .

I reduced one setting and been smooth since. I'm good with this Bahrain

It's also good for me. Good fps and no stutters.
I also have post effects off btw. See above for the tip from Jens Roos.

So just checking, we are sticking to Bahrain gentleman?

In all honesty I don't run Post Effects on my gaming PC. I can just about get away with Low and Medium though if I feel like running it.

However so many leagues run with DX9 tracks I just find it's less hassle to run with the effects switched off. Otherwise like mentioned above you get stuttering, blooming on lighter coloured objects, etc.

Not the fault of the game at all, as the S397 content runs fine. It's up to the original authors to update the tracks/mods. Just one of those things :)

There is one other small issue as well. The S397 endurance cars have a very high polygon count. They are highly detailed models (you could argue too much). Compared to URD or Enduracer which are much lower. Again not a major problem but I can run with 45-50 odd cars with the URD mods with great performance. My PC struggles more with the S397 cars. It could be LOD optimisation as well but it just goes to show how things vary from one creative team to another.

Will be interesting to see how much more strain the new shader system puts on the system(s) when those get introduced.

Yes, we will run Bahrain as it stands.
We only had a few reports from drivers about stutters, so there is no majority call to change the track.
Drivers who have stutters/low fps have to lower their settings and turn post effects off, lower AA ect. From what I know most of the drivers are oke on preformance.

Btw, for people with preformance issue's, also set raindrops to "off" so it doesn't load the shaders. That also helps.

Im confused about all this "im having gpx issues" while them people probably run maxed details...
I had amd A10 with integrated graphics and like 3 weeks ago i got HD1080 or something 6 years old graphics card.
Details minimum but on most tracks i dont get graphics lags anymore wich actually cost lap time. Oh yeah and reduced amount
of cars visible as i dont really need to see whole damn grid.

Just work them details. Its very shitty starting to talk about track change during the same week the race is coming.

John seems to be having the biggest issues, yet runs a 2080 with VR. I have no issues anymore with a 4gb R9 290 from 2013 and max settings. Take that as you wish .

We aren't changing the track and most guys didn't get to do any practice to know about issues till after Cota. Seems that Bart and John where the two with issues and Bart found a solution and Johns appears to be bigger than a issue with Bahrain but hopefully he can fix.

It would be even more shitty to have guys who can' t race or having issues that could effect us in the race, but we have to take care of the group before the individual and the group says we stay here so nothing to worry about as that was already decided just above.

    Qualifying is at night!

This track has some build-in parameters. It's seems we can't change the time of day for qualifying. Qual will take place at night.
Warmup is as dusk, but the race will take place in daylight as normal.

When I posted that I had troubles I was only doing so to warn everyone to check how it performs so no one runs into issues.
I can race without a problem. It's just annoying stutter at T2 and T4. There seems to be some cpu utilization issue on my end and there are two spots in Bahrain where my fps drop below 90 no matter how I put my settings.
