Highlands is probably the most dangerous track in the series, because it's pretty much all high speed and guardrails. You shouldn't drive the car close to the edge of killing yourself, unless you're comfortable in that place. If you do what you know is save, you should be oke. (you will gain a lot of places like that over the guys that will overdrive the car ;))

So, I have been practising the Brabham BT24 for a while, since it was the car I had to have after somebody left its seat and I entered the green spot. After practising for some time, I felt that the time I can shave anymore is dropped to really small amounts like a few tenths, but iıam about 3 seconds slower, which is almost a year in car time and shaving a few more tenths from it would make no difference at all, because I am sure to lose that few tenths during the heat of the race.

I just wanted to make sure if it was really the "car" that's slower, so I took the Eagle for a spin after having the permission from John:

Maybe it was the practice which I have done with a more difficult car that enabled me to achieve a faster lap time, but the difference was day and night. I have been practising with Brabham for over a week and a half now, and in my first 2 valid laps with the Eagle, I went a whole second quicker and there is also room for improvement since I stopped after noticing the car was actually creating such difference.

But that is totally fine on my end, sure, everyone would love the cars to be equal, but let's be realistic, the history of F1 was never known for having equal cars, and as John has already put it by considering the track conditions, this will be a race of the "Survival of the Fittest". :D

That’s why I love single make series, it’s all about driver :)

Is there some changes on ptracker or stracker? Earlier it shower graphs of my laps compared to Henri’s lap on eagle but not anymore. And it does not show graphs for Henri’s lap on lotus either.

I've done a full race distance on the server. Well, 37 minutes. Then I thought I had been driving save for long enough and thought I could go faster, and then I crashed !!:oops::D

The server has been set into race mode with all greenlight drivers !

You should all be in your proper cars now so please let us know if there are any issues !

It will still remain unlocked for red light's until the Thursday before each event at that time it will be green light drivers only & entry_list will be locked !

I can't manage to get under 2:18 with the Eagle this week, figures :D
Also I was driving the BRM with the shifter on my left side for fun, and I must say it's a lot harder than it looks. That could explain some of the huge gap between my Eagle and BRM times.

I think the difference between Eagle and BRM is at least two seconds anyway.

lol I'm still trying to get out of the 2:30's ha …
These cars are such a trip to drive , hats off to you guys in the teens :confused::D . I cant imagine keeping it on the edge for a whole lap like that ! precision is crucial , you have to hit every apex dead on to keep the pace & one slight wobble and its over in an instant o_O!

    Hi
Great to be in this series, Im in my allocated car now but well off the pace. If I can string a clean lap with my fastest sector times my lap time will be a lot better.
Im still outbraking myself and running too deep into corners, Looking at the fastest lap time and it looks like i do not carry enough corner speed so I think my main problem is braking. Todays mission is to sort this.
Im going to play around with the brake strength and biaise today as im happy how the car is driving.
This is a great track and the impression of speed is ......:eek::eek::eek:

I think braking is not your biggest problem but the drivinglines. Try to use whole track width, so you can carry more speed in corners.

The whole green-light field is now locked-in on the server. No more changes will be made untill after round 1.
Only the drivers that are green and locked-in as of now can join the server. No one else.
(test if you can join the server tonight with your own car).

Tomorrow, look for the race-server password here:

Henri, you are right I am driving better today and hitting apex that I wasnt yesterday. Im using more track and carrying more speed
Also crashing a lot less although I can see that you have to drive on the absolute edge of grip to produce a good lap
Ive tinkered with gearing and got it just about right for me. Pity I dont have a mount on my seat for my gear shifter
    Right back to practice :D

    Thanks Henri.

No matter which car I pick it puts me in the Cooper T81B so looks like that's my ride.
