Watched all of the rounds on the live youtube stream (these should be promoted more in the forums and on the website)

Congrats to @Jukka Drugg on taking the championship, flawless drive.
Well done to all drivers who competed, those cars looked like a handful (As seen from @Mac Shepherd onboard videos) to drive around tight tracks with very little runoff.

Finally thanks to @Caitlin Penny for the time taken to provide the broadcasts and her wealth of knowledge from the '67 era of racing.

I love the classic street circuits and the Feldbergring was a wonderful way to end this amazing Championship. From the outset my aim was to race the circuit rather than other drivers in order to try to avoid a dnf and it paid off with a very satisfying fourth place. A podium finish was within reach but when Laurent caught me so easily I did not risk getting involved in a fight which could potentially ruin both our races and I was happy to settle for P4.
Congrats to Fabrizio, John and Laurent for their podium results; also to Jukka for taking the Championship in such an impressive manner.
Thanks again to Caitlin for an excellent broadcast (and well done for staying with it, I hope you feel better soon) :).
Special mention for Flaviu who claimed his first point ... well done Sir .
When John announced this series I expected it would be good ... well, it turned out to be GREAT ... thank you for making it happen, John; I hope we get a chance to drive these classics again sometime :).

Thanks for organising the series :) @John vd Geest

Struggled in some races, had fun in others, but can't wait to see if there's going to be another historic series on AC again. What's the easiest way to stay updated on new series that are starting?

I'm glad you (and hopefully others) had a great time. As I did.
I would like to do it again in the future, but this time with a completely open setup. I think that would work better for what some tracks need.
If you guys like historic racing, come join my DNF Mclaren M23 series. That starts next week. Bridgehampton only holds 24 cars, but all the rest is a 30 car grid.

Caitlin puts it up 1 hour before the race. You are right. 1 day before would be better as my fellow admin mentioned regarding this.

    Thank you very much Bill.
And I'm very happy to complete my goal, to finish the race :D. And also very pleased by my POINT
I must apologize to @Jens Roos for my mistake in lap one. I put my car with the nose in the hay :( and he didn't have anywhere to go.
I had a very bad first lap. After that I start to feel a little confidence and begin to "race the track".
I had a little distant fight with Jens, which give me some entertainment in my lonely race.
Congratulation to @Jukka Drugg for championship and also to the podium of this last race, and to all who drive in this great series.
Thank you @John vd Geest and SRO

No problem @Flaviu Bozga, I'm rather sure I might parked there anyway :D

Have been a great series, even if I most times find it challenging to find good speed in these car :)

You are right Andrew we do need to promote a lot better, Time does come in to play with not having enough of it.

We did try to recruit a Media admin a couple of years ago with no success so we will try again :)

I'm guessing there are a lot of members here with special talents that SRO could use. We need to flush them out with some kind of recruitment campaign ;)
For starters, we need an SRO intro video of 5-10 seconds for the broadcast video's.

Completed my first series on SRO and a big thanks to John and Caitlan
This was one of my better races as I was slow but was starting to get to grips with the Honda. A heavy crash left me a long slow trail back to pits followed by a very long repair stop. I really enjoyed this race otherwise. Sorry if i got in anyones way during quali and race.
Set my fastest lap during the race although still way off the pace.
This week I didnt have as much practice time but actually tweaked some of my wheel settings giving better ffb feel and steering .
Im ready to go for more of this and hopefully will have more speed and consistency
Congrats to the podium today and Jukka for winning the series.:)
Hope you are feeling better Caitlan....the commentary was excellent ...you even went onboard with me during qualifying lol must have been very scary:eek:
See you all in the next series ...I will be there

Another good fun yesterday with some chaps! Unfortunately my work has spoiled this great championship in some way. I'm always late at the qualif. start and that makes the things harder, as I need some pratice before the race to warm up myself.
However, despite all it was another intense race with a lot of good fights all along the track. As in Kyalami we found involved in a 3 drivers battle for most of the race with Louis, Phil and Laurent and it was a great show to broadcast even this time for Caitlin the Wise.
In the end, after the incident between Phil and Louis, my concentration dropped too much and I crashed on the fence of the last corner at 270 km/h when me and Fabrizio were safely leading the race for an italian one-two, that never happened :) Bravo Fabrizio and grats to the other chaps that completed the podium.
However, thanks to John vd Geest for organizing this champ, amazing track selection mate!
Grats to Jukka for the championship and to the other chaps I found on my way for some great battles: Phil, Fabrizio, Laurent and Louis maninly. There are a lot of talented and fair drivers here, so it was a pleasure to discover this place!
Unfortunately I guess this will be my last championship here, cause it's difficult to match my working hours with the start of your races lately. Nonetheless SRO has been a great surprise to me!
Hope to see you again soon!
    Ciao!

Finished watching broadcast. Compared with some other drivers, my "race" was just a pleasure drive on mountain road. I had to confess: I fully enjoyed :D:D:D
Thank you very much for your nice words @Caitlin Penny.

Well .. this was interesting. I'd say the results were impacted by slight mistakes this time, and well, you get punished for it on this track.

I had a great run on my last qualy lap but put it between gears on my H-shifter losing a lot of speed. Too bad because my delta showed I would have been a few tenths clear from pole.. This is something I have to work on. When really pushing I tend to gear shift too fast and putting it in between gears. Got to stay composed !

Race was a good battle with Louis and Matteo. At some point I overtook Louis and Matteo. From there I wanted to build a gap and well .. also made the shifting mistake down at the village part. My wheels blocked because of it, went sideways but could hold it. Banged wheels with Louis, he even pushed me on the sidewalk there :) Was really close but we got away with it. Matteo also passed me after that. Then laps later Matteo got in Louis' slipstream and got a bit away. I was pushing to get back to them but then I seem to have clipped a fence. I'm close to the fence but I don't know, seems like I shouldn't have collided with it there. Here's a video replay of it.

My suspension was broken, got in the haystack as well. Thought about giving up for a sec but decided to try and bring it back to the pits. Got back to the pits, repaired the suspension.. Man, that takes soooo long, especially when you watch the delta's to the others while sitting there :) There was 19 minutes to go and Bill was now 25 seconds away. I decided to push and see if I could catch him. I was closing quickly and got behind him and made the pass on the last lap. Quite surprised to finish 3rd despite all this but that's thanks to DNF's in front sadly.

Congrats again Jukka, too bad you couldn't participate in this one ! Thanks John for this championship, loved it ! Looking forward to the DNF series, I hope I will get a good feeling with rFactor2. Thanks Caitlin for the nice commentary ! And thanks to so many fair drivers in this league who make it possible to actually race such cars on such difficult tracks ! I'm sure this would be almost impossible in some leagues.
