    Feldbergring: Where Eagles Dare
A surprising one-two for the Eagle Team. What an unexpected win!
Honestly I thought to have no chances on this track, despite the absence of Jukka (The Invictus). Feldbergring is like a small Nurburgring, and I hate the Green Hell. Even my laptimes were not very comforting. I expected a fourth-fifth final position, and I was thinking to "do the race on Laurent" to defend my second position in the championship.

I managed to get the Pole, mostly because the others pilots did slower times than their PB. So I was lucky.
I started well from the first row and I did the first 2-3 laps really fast, creating a gap of about 3-4 seconds. Behind me, Phil, Louis, Matteo and Laurent, fought between them but keepting pushing hard. The leader group was regrouped. I was not very worried about this situation. I'm an "ice-man" and I do not suffer too much pressure from other pilots. So I continued pushing below my limit, controlling the gap. Lauda style. At half race, Phil and Louis had a contact, also Matteo lose time here, so I had a great advantage (9 seconds on Matteo). I was thinking abount a great italian one-two, but my friend had some troubles at penultimate lap. I did the final lap in total relax, having 40 seconds on my teammates John. What an unexpected win!

Congratulations to all those who participated in the Championship. Great sportmanship here, great group!
Thanks to John for organizing the series and to Caitlin for the exceptional commentary.

See you soon, maybe for a next F1 '67 Championship.

The level of fair driving here is also a joy for me to experience. I've been on lots of other leagues of other sim-sites, where public server driving is the norm. It's very refreshing that members here have a great sense of fair play and mistakes of other drivers are easily forgiven.

If you can win here and by your own speed, your talent is not in question and you fully deserve the win. Outstanding drive Fabrizio. Big grats!!
Even Jukka would have been impressed if he was there!

Thanks for the exellent coverage Caitlin. And don´t worry about the end :) It was a thrilling race as I expected :)

Fabrizio drove without any mistakes and deserved that victory. It´s not always being fastest but being consistant. Congrats Fabrizio for victory and 2nd place on championship. Oh, you hate Nurburgring, I was just about to propose fun event there with these cars sometime where everyone can pick any car they like from this mod :) I love that track :)

It´s always shame when someone loses great position with no fault of his own. I feel sorry for Phil. You drove great and would have deserved that 2nd Place.

There was exellent battles between Laurent, Louis, Phil and Matteo I had blast to watch that, thanks guys :) And some other great battles too.

Congrats to John for 2nd Place. Exellent work with broken car.

Congrats to Laurent for 3rd. Seems like no matter how much accidents and missfortune you have you always come back strong :) Really unlucky with that fence :( There always seems to be some objects that are wider that they seem.

It was also my first series here and I agree about fairness and good sportmanship here. I hope I am able to join other series too but just noticed that most races are hour earlier than this was and that is difficult for me because of our work (me and wife). I am quite picky on sims and mods too and prefer AC and historic cars. Thank you John for putting this series up, It was very good combination of tracks :) And thank you once again Caitlin to make the racing come alive on the broadcasts :) And thank you for all you fellow racers, it has been nice to race with you :) And thanks for all the congrats and beatifull trophy too (poor Laurent :)

It was a strange accident indeed. I'm testing Deutschlandring for Fat-Alfie and I also showed him the incident. He thinks it's odd too but didn't find a protruding fence there. Maybe the surface (grass) pulled me in but I thought I felt a hit before being pulled to the fence. It could be the collision box of the car too.. it was very close any way. And that's something to avoid to be sure.. Deutschlandring will be a blast to race ! Very very fast track, less technical and wider, so there are plenty of spots to overtake. Will be a good track to race on in the future ! It should be out in a week or two.

Indeed. AI are still very slow though. I raced the Alfa GTA there yesterday and was 8-10 seconds faster than 100% AI on a single lap. Luckily racing the Giulia TZ with the GTA was at least a bit more challenging. But for multiplayer it will be a blast !
