    Yep tried tonight got onto Monza but had to gues and couldn't see the in game VR menu at all. Now just stopped playing Raceroom and find that much better. I know it has been in development longer but even AC has a better VR system why not just use that instead of this bollocks. I hate this game and have uninstalled it until they get the issues sorted as I play these games in VR only.

    Cheers for trying.

    They change to unreal engine 4, so it is not possible just copy/paste the good parts from older AC.

    I want to like this game but for a fundemental part of the game is broken thus I have uninstalled until it is fixed. Wish they had sorted this before release.

    Cheers :(

    I believe they get this good. In first AC they had even more problems with 1.0 version than this game.

    Here's hoping they fix it soon in terms of Vr and mainly for me performance.

    I don't understand. @Mark Jones @Andre Depit. For the missing menu you tried my post on AC forum and don't work?
    It is a two button push. No big deal. And also for menu moving with headset it is also an easy solution
    vrSettins.json (Layer Type 1 - fix menu, Layer Type 2 - menu moving with the headset and always centered

    "mainMenuLayerDistance": 100,
    "mainMenuLayerSize": 160,
    "mainMenuLayerType": 1,
    "raceMenuLayerDistance": 50,
    "raceMenuLayerSize": 78,
    "raceMenuLayerType": 1,
    "hUDLayerDistance": 64,
    "hUDLayerSize": 105,
    "hUDLayerType": 1,
    "spectatorScreenMode": 5
    And also you manipulate the menu in-game
    CTRL+left/right to move forward/backward, and CTRL+shift+left/right to scale up/down

    Thanks @Flaviu Bozga
    The issue I had was getting the UI menu to centre. Is there a default key press for this?
    If not how do you set the two keys to press?

    On Steam, I have various launch options.

    I can launch with ACC vr
    Or
    Launch with Steam vr

    If I launch with ACC vr, my menu isn't centred and I have to centre it. If I launch with Steam vr the menu starts centred.

    Ctrl+space to centre menu
    Or
    Look left and look right keys held.

    Mark, start game in monitor view (another option on Steam launcher) then set up the keys.

    I'm on Rift though, and it just works for me.

    @Andrew Williams this shortcut keys don't work with WMR, unfortunately.
    @Mark Jones It was a figure of speech "two key press" :) I don't have motion controllers to my Lenovo, so I use an X box controller.
    I don't know if you have the controllers so, I will detail both.
    First make sure you have the Steam VR Dashboard enabled in Steam VR settings:

    For Xbox controller with the headset on and game started and you are in garage
    1. Press long BACK button. On the Headset you will see the steam icon and a green circle filling up around it. When it is filled it is opening the Steam VR Dashboard
    2. Now you have a screen with two parts. Up and down. The focus is on Upper screen. Press START and the focus change to Lower screen (to me works after few rapid presses because the focus it is changing back)

    3. With D-pad key navigate once down and then to the left and select the ON/OFF button. Press A
    4. In the next screen first option is "Reset Seated Position". Select this option and press A

    This working for me every time from the beginning of VR in ACC
    Here it is a video. It's on Russian and he enter the Settings. This never worked for me, but you can see the VR Dashboard
    Edited (I forget to paste the link :) )

    For Motion Controller (I didn't test this solution)
    1. hold down the joystick on the handhold controller until the ring appears totally green and open the Steam VR Dashboard
    2. Select the ON/OFF button
    3. Select "Reset Seated Position"
    Hope you will find my explanation easy to follow

    Another useful tip for triple screen if you want to put the HUD on the middle screen
    Open hud.json and change safezone left and safezone right from 20 to 2000 and the HUD will be in the middle screen now (for bezel corrected resolution add 100-150)
    Also "ratingWidgetPracticeFocus": 1 bring back the training visual indicator (0 if you don't want to see it)

    Thanks @Flaviu Bozga that worked for the 'Recentre' menu :) although now i need to use an xbox controller I don't seem to be able to use any of the keyboard shortcuts, so move HUD doesn't work, although the shortcuts tips box pops up so quick i don't get chance to read it.
    At least now i can actually give this a go though, just can't see the HUD as it's too close to my view, so outside it.

    F2 (If It works for you) cycles between HUD, no HUD and shortcut keys/help menu (And something else I can't remember)

    I'm glad you get the menu position sorted.
    Shouldn't be any problem. I also use Xbox controller and keyboard. My problem is the Xbox controller from time to time replace my wheel as controller1 :confused:. So I have two profiles one with wheel controller1 and other with my wheel controller2. This is windows fault.

    Is there a limit on number of controllers maybe? As soon as i used the Xbox controller keyboard didn't work at all, so F2 for example, Ctlr Space and any arrow keys nothing at all working. I also couldn't map the Dpad on my G25 shifter, but had wheel, pedals, shifter, button plate and Xbox controller all listed.

    Maybe. The easiest way to found out it is to unplug something. I don't know shifter or button box, just for testing. Or maybe you can unplug the Xbox controller after you centered the menu.

    I cannot join simracing server because of my rating . this really is BS as im not messing around wasting time trying to get enough of a safety rating to join a server. Im afraid this one might end up in the bin very early on.

    Are you sure it was the right server? I just tried it and joined the server even though I have 0 safetyrating. The right one is SimRacingOnline V1.0.1
