Thanks Andrew ! I'm on it ! & @Pasquale ,The only reason for the short P session is this is mainly to test the Q session , starts ,yellows ,pitting ,restarts , its not the practice server yet ! we are almost there ! @Denis I'm not sure but I think you can pick what you want from the pack, so as long as you have the pack installed your good to go ..

OK fuel @ 2X , if thigs are looking good for starts, yellows, pit stops ,restarts we can then put the official practice server up by Monday !
has anyone checked if the lucky dog is in use ? first lapped down car gets a lap back under yellows if its on .. I don't even see it in the INDY_RFM to turn on or off so I assume its not applied for INDYCAR ? ,so maybe its only NASCAR that gets it ..IDK .. So if someone can check that we can move on and start getting ready for official practice :)

I'm going to say, that is the wrong decision, as pitting every 20 laps, meaning pitting 6-7 times in the race, seems silly.

Normal fuel multiplier means pitting twice, but needing to save fuel (or saved whilst in the pack)

But we will run whatever the admin decides

I have to agree with you … I think the idea was to make sure we all pit but 5- 6 pit stops is a lot , that's why we are testing !!
My suggestion to admin is fuel set to normal ...

I have reset the fuel to normal on the test server because 2x is just silly imo ...

Indycar does not use the lucky dog rule iirc

I ran a fake race session to practice a bit and to see fuel consumptions. Well, making this race a 2 stopper won't be easy:D

I noticed it now has 3h practice, nice. But, and I'm sorry for bothering you again, is it possible to switch the time of the day? At 8 AM visibility is not great, turn 3 is quite difficult

I made a mistake when setting the race options. I should have set fuel to x1 and tyres to x2. The server will be set to these settings for the race.

We don't normally amend default rfm files but will look into the possibility for this race (practice) only.

On the server installed x2 tyre wear. I tested this and it not normal. Front right tyre very strong wear.
Look on screenshoot. This wear after 15 laps. I think need installed tyre wear - normal. Maybe can do this?

I've ran 35 laps and had much more tyre left than you have there.

Denis, Maybe it is setup or/and driver input thing? You should not push hard.

I haven't run any laps yet. No oval racing requires practice :D Probably I'm looking for some setup from the net and jump straight into the race. Except if someone in here wants to give me a setup? ;)

That front right tyre wear with x2 is normal and is what I'm seeing in my testing. But it should be OK for a full Green Flag stint at x2 Fuel.

So, for the race tomorrow the server will set with Normal fuel consumption (X1) and Tyre Wear x2?

Also, parc ferme is on? I guess it's not

That is correct Pasquale. The Race page has now been amended to show this change from the originally planned settings.
For all our races at SRO if it doesn't state a setting will be used, it will be OFF.

As a reminder for those new to oval racing with rF2, or for those like myself who don't do many oval races. and therefore forget some of the in-sim flag rules, here are some things to remember so as not to ruin your or others race.

    1. When the start lights go Green at either the beginning of the race or after a Yellow Flag period, do not pass cars ahead of you before the start finish line. If you do you will receive an in-game penalty Drive Through.

    2. If a Full Course Yellow is raised then slow down immediately, but carefully, and do not pass cars ahead of you. Do not use hard braking as this may cause another accident with cars behind you. Stay in line astern formation as indicated to you by the game.

    3. If you are not on the lead lap when a Yellow occurs, you must wait until the sim tells you the Pits are open to you, which is one lap after the lead-lap cars can stop. If you do stop you will get an in-game penalty. However if you have a lot of damage it may be worthwhile to take the penalty, rather than try and drive a bad-handling car around for another lap.

    4. Do not race very lap as if it is the last lap of the race. This is a 125 lap race, so the strategy should be to stay on the lead lap if possible until later in the race when it matters. Anyone deemed to have driven over aggressively and who causes unnecessary accidents resulting in Yellow flag periods, will likely receive a post race penalty, exclusion from the results and maybe more.

I'm not sure I'll be in the race. I am a little bit sick. If I feel better then I will come.
