Hi guys,

Just returned from a weekend with friends and I'm frankly too tired to race. Have fun, Goodwood is a great circuit !

 

Good start, was just hanging on behind Henri.
Then started to actually make a comeback and close the gap when I lost connection

I love this combo and am livid to be missing out on what looked set to be a great race.
Hope the rest of you fare better.

 

Sorry I was a little late. I came straight from the other race. I saw Tim, Phil and Ken lost their connection to the server, and I was disappointed because we would surely have had a good race with Tim. Better luck next time.

 

Sorry to see so many disconnects. i know how frustrating it is.


i Had a lovely Race.

Enjoy this car and the car track combo.
knowing the starting grid is so tightly packed together.
i opted to save my strength, instead of qualify and have a cup of coffee while listening to the cars go by.
Bliss.

Then the time came to get all serious.
donned my racing socks and walked to the car on the start line. 11th place.
Lights go 3.. 2.. 1.. Green.....
clutches drop and heart rate surges faster that the car does.
first few corners kept up easily with the crowd, then one lad lost control, went off and back on track bumping me off the track on the outside towards the grain fields.
dropped to last and some 20 odd seconds behind.
just knuckled down and focused keeping it as clean and sideways as i could,
then.... whopppss ....
Fuel light comes on at the half way mark.
that not right, thats the last 10 minute struggle... whyyyyyyy!!
that put me into fuel saver mode, and removing my attack to get 5th place.
as i was saving fuel i was watching the gap between 5th place and myself grow and grow then......
with 10 minutes to go, Fuel was spent and i could stop for a drink.
race was lonely after that as i had enough time over my Team mate, whom in hes 1st real race here at SRO.uk was holding on to 7th place.
congrats Lad.

was a good day at the races.
finished in 6th with team mate in 7th,
and had a grin on my face.

I'm so used to GPL that that didn't even occur to me

 

sorry about your dissconect. seems this time it kinda helped, looking on the positive side.

interesting that im not the only one, i thought i made a mistake on my setup load, fuel load selection.

 

Trailbraked whole race so after 40minutes my rears were gone.
Pitstop cost me podium and had very uneventful race.
