Virginia International Raceway The "Full Course" is the most common configuration. One of the most notable sections of the course, second only to "Oak Tree" (T11), are the "Climbing Esses" which consist of an initial left up-hill (T7), followed by a right which crests at the apex then dropping slightly into a left (T8) which again crests at the apex dropping slightly, and then up into a final left (T9). The complexity and difficulty of this section is multiplied by the incredible entry speed because of a straight section leading into the Climbing Esses. This is followed by a cresting blind left hand turn (T10), "South Bend", that finishes in a steep downward slope. Another signature section is the "Roller Coaster" (T14) which is a scaled-down mirror image to the famed "Corkscrew" at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Thanks to help from John vd Geest and Ken Jagger I have put up an unofficial PRACTICE server for this series for all registered members to use. It is configured identical to the SRO server so race conditions match. This server is intended to be used for practice while the SRO server is unavailable. It will be running continuously and will follow the series meaning the track will be for the next race in the series (currently VIR) and driver Steam IDs will be maintained. Like with the series your Steam ID is used to assign your car so if you have a custom skin you should see it. This server is located in Chicago so your ping times will be different from what you are normally seeing. I've also used a different password to avoid confusion with the official server. The server is: WSR - SRO RSS GT1 PRACTICE The password is: chattaroy I've also installed stracker so we can all show off our fast lap times: http://104.192.227.194:50121/mainpage This works for me but let me know if you encounter a problem.
My strategy for this event ... When I see something really horrible, I put my foot down ... HARD!! Because I know .... that everyone else is lifting his ...
Glad to see another player here in the US ! I don't see a prob with using the sro default pw .. the pw's change on race day on the official servers , all sro practice servers (all sims) have the same default PW up to race day ..I don't see any issues at all using sro's default practice PW .. ;-) (nice to have pings under 160 for a change lol)
John this made me laugh out loud !! hahah .. That is one of the greatest racing movies of all time !...
I wont be able to make it this Saturday I'm afraid but will be at the next one. Family stuff I've been volunteered to do lol
Ohh man. Coming home from work and I take out my frustration on the car . I should be working on the house. Track is so slippery!
I'm really struggling with this car. I failed to do a good setup for me, tried everything and it still doesn't feel good, so I had to change my driving style. Let's see how it goes
yeah mate, Lambo it's really stubborn, it feels very unbalanced sometimes, you almost can feel the massive engine's weight upsetting the car on braking and cornering. It's like too heavy on the rear and too light on the front. Always understeering and hard to manage on braking despite the settings. But the speed and the sound are exiting and Lambos, Murcielago especially, are my dream cars....
I tried these cars for last season (didn't race), but every time I got near a kerb in the Lambo, I'd soon be pointing the wrong way. Hats off to you guys driving the Lambo.
