Too bad... the round that I am going to win is not going to be live-streamed. Oh, what a shame...

 

Did some laps with the Ferrari 550 yesterday. Is 50 kg ballast not a bit too much ? Feels quite sluggish honestly. Maybe 30kg sounds more like it ?

 

Hi dude, I think 50kg is correct for the Ferrari. Maybe sluggish on this track but in the whole championship that car rules. On tracks like Spa will be hard to beat even with 50kg ballast. So on average, on the entire championship it's the right amount. I personally made a few tests offline and 50kg feels fair.

 

I also think ferrari is too much with 50kg because its not balancing anything at the moment.
Only giving its drivers handicap atm.
Maybe try 30kg

 

I could agree with 50 kgs being a little too much maybe, but I disagree with changing it mid-season because we already have done 2 rounds. That would not be fair for the Ferrari drivers or others since it might have affected the results.

But then again I never tested any car other than the Chrysler Viper so I would not know...

 

I've done a few laps on the server with the 550. I am only 6 tenth away from the fastest lap on the server, which is also made with similar conditions: 98%grip - Meds - 50% fuel. I run only 9 laps and to be honest it feels ok to me. On the curbs, it's actually very smooth. A bit clumsy but this car gonna be faster in other tracks.
Guys for me no problem at all if you wanna change ballast, we are here to have fun. Maybe you can try with 40kg instead of 30kg.

I’m currently building a new pedal base after I broke the last one during the last endurance series!

Thanks Andrew for this... that was hard racing, two classes 3 hours race, broken bumpers, doors etc... Herbert's Maserati it's awesome, we actually have The MC12 in AC, I wonder if would be possible to add it to the next season.

I'm sorry, I had to un-register. I have a client who needs my attention today. I'll be updating my server for the next race tomorrow.

 

Can't remember for certain but I think the GT1 mod cars are much faster than the MC12 and so racing against them doesn't work very well.

EDIT: Just found out that it's about 70-90 BHP down on the RSS cars.

I think AC allows BoP style adjustments? So I suppose you could ballast the other cars to allow the MC12 a better chance of racing them.

I remember seeing the FIA GT (and before than BPR) series many times in the UK, good times. Although by the time the MC12 came out the rate of technical change was getting a bit too crazy and the cars were getting so advanced too fast and making the others out of date almost overnight. Amazing really that the 575 could keep up. Still great to watch though.

That was a real shame we didn't have the broadcast, the race has been super crazy, Caitlin would have had a heart attack tonight, that was awesome

Sorry everybody for the contacts but I had very high ping all night, cars where all over the places...

 

Nothing to comment here... Pathetic Q... Made a mistake at the start dropped to last. Spun, dropped to last again, then a Ferrari punted me (thanks for nothing). Only thing I could do was the best lap, which I did.
It's a shame... The strategy was good, 100l hard tires, 40l meds. Could have scored a podium, but ended up as just a waste of time, just like the 2 previous races.
