Of course, get well soon (Gute Besserung) Gerhard.

One point Ken between us, damn it ;)
Not sure what I should take away from this one. Tricky car, did not get along with it in the first half, got better later but still not really constant. If I compare it to the first series with this mod, it was not much better but we had more competitors.

Anyway, thank you for running, good job Paul/Andrew/Jens and the rest.

Good couple of races tonight with Paul.

Race 1 - Paul made an error and I took the lead, then I ran slightly wide and Paul regained the lead. I seemed to be slightly quicker through the quick right before the final corner and got a good run and made the pass to take the lead again. Several laps of close pressure, but then managed to ease away slightly to take the win.

Race 2 - Again Paul in the lead, but he had a half spin after a few laps and let me through. I saw he was back in 5th, so was an easy cruise to the win - or so I thought. A couple of laps later he was back in 2nd and closing on me quickly. Noticed he carried mega speed up the hill after T1 and closed there each lap. I was pushing hard but Paul just kept closing the gap. Think it got down to about 1.4 seconds, but it started growing again in the final several laps for another win (blahblahblah :p)

Looking at tyres, I had 10% more left (front left) at the end of the race than Paul, so maybe why I could extend the gap in the final few laps.

To be honest, Paul had the pace here to win both of the races, and was unlucky not to.

Congrats on the Championship Paul, and congrats to Jens and Bill (edit, and of course Mark who raced round 1) on the team championship for Redline Racing 2.0.

Of course, thanks to Ken and ACD for hosting the series.

    Q1
Got a good lap in which at the time was a PB :)

    Race 1
Wow! almost feel like leaving it there as the race was fantastic. Got a great start and for the first few laps remained in the lead until a mistake let Andrew pass. I glued myself to his gearbox and got back into the lead at the top of the hill when Andrew went wide. As Andrew said I was having difficulties in the right hander just before the hairpin. At one point I ran slightly wide and knowing what had happened to me during practice I knew I'd just got away with a trip to the wall. From that point I began taking care when entering the corner. A bit too much caution which allowed Andrew to get a run on me down to the hairpin. Tried to fight back immediately but never got another chance.

Well done Andrew. Great close racing :)

    Q2
As with all the previous rounds the track was greener that Q1 but unlike passed races I managed to put into a good lap just 1/10th off of Q1. Another pole :)

    Race 2
Got a good start and saw that Andrew had made a mistake early on and I had got a second or so lead. The first few laps were like driving on ice. My car was handling so differently from the first race. Going through the right hander just before the sharp left hander at the beginning of the uphill section my car over rotated and in trying to stop in spinning I slammed on the brakes. The car straightened up but by the time I'd regained control I was off the track and in 5th place. That was that. My hopes of 1 win in this series had gone or so I thought. It was going to take too much time to get through the 3 closely packed cars ahead that's if I could, so I switched on my magnetic death ray and I immediately saw Jens go off and then a little further on the car in front of me went off. I then had a laps dice with the only car between me and Andrew and got him on the run down to the 90deg right hander after the hill section. Andrew was only 1.5 seconds ahead so there was still a chance. I began putting in as much as I had to close the gap. I flung the car over the hill section and even managed to get a good line through the right hander to the hairpin I'd had trouble with in race 1. But I couldn't get within a second and unfortunately my magnetic death ray would only work if I got within a second bit like DRS. :).

Well done Andrew shame it wasn't as close as race 1 :)
Well done Redline Racing 2.0 for the team title :)

A series win but bit ashamed that I didn't win a race. Found these cars tricky and at times damn right difficult to drive. I think Andrew would have just nicked the win had he done the whole series. That's the problem with this format if you miss a day you miss a chance of an 80 point haul. So my series but by right it should go to Andrew who showed us that these cars can be mastered :)

Thanks Ken for another great series. Just need a few more people to turn up or keep turning up. Not sure why Csaba and Mark failed to show up again after the 1st round. Shame.

By the way I will deny all knowledge of a magnetic death ray if I'm investigated by the stewards ;)

I really enjoyed racing on this track, once I'd dialled myself into it's undulating climbs, descents and blind brows. Race 1 went well, especially after I fluffed the start and lost four places before T2 . 3rd place was the best to expect under normal circumstances with Paul and Andrew in the field, although I was puzzled a bit by the slower than usual pace from Bill, Philipp and Jens. Maybe at the end of this series, I've finally got used to this car....until the next series of course :D.

Race 2 was progressing fine and I was looking at another 3rd place finish, but exiting the final turn behind Paul, I glanced the pit wall only slightly and it was like I'd run into the end of the barrier as the car almost turned around o_O:confused:. It gave me major damage which resulted in another off on the way to the pits for repairs, losing the RF wheel in the process. A 308 sec stop ended any chance of a decent result. It was really surprising as I'd touched the wall in practice without incident, so maybe this time I connected with a seam in the scenery construction or something like that, which did the damage. Very odd to say the least.

Congratulations on BVR Team mate Paul on taking the Drivers Championship and Red Line Racing on taking 11 of the 12 race wins. Hell of a strong team and performance guys :). Also many thanks to Gerhard Hoffman and the ACD group for sponsoring the series :).

This track and this car were awesome. Loved chucking the car over the hill section. Please don't leave it too long before we return here. This and Sebring are my favourite American tracks :)
