    History

Mount Panorama Circuit is a motor racing track located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on a hill with the dual official names of Mount Panorama and Wahluu[1] and is best known as the home of the Bathurst 1000 motor race held each October, and the Bathurst 12 Hour event held each February. The track is 6.213 km (4 mi) in length, and is technically a street circuit, and is a public road, with normal speed restrictions when no racing events are being run, and there are many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit.

The track has an unusual design by modern standards, with a 174-metre (571 ft) vertical difference between its highest and lowest points, and grades as steep as 1:6.13. From the start-finish line, the track can be viewed in three sections; the short pit straight and then a tight left turn into the long, steep Mountain straight; the tight, narrow section across the top of the mountain itself; and then the long, downhill section of Conrod Straight, with the very fast Chase and the turn back onto pit straight to complete the lap.

Historically, the racetrack has been used for a wide variety of racing categories, including everything from open-wheel racers to motorcycles. However, the factors that make the track so unusual, and tighter modern safety standards, make it unlikely that major race meetings in these categories will be held there again, and as such it has become the near-exclusive province of closed-bodied cars.

As a public road, on non-race days and when it is not closed off during the day as part of a racing event, Mount Panorama is open to the public. Cars can drive in both directions around the circuit for no charge. However, a strict speed limit of 60 km/h (37 mph) is enforced, and police regularly patrol the circuit.

The National Motor Racing Museum is located next to the Mount Panorama Circuit.

Hi... I wanted to drive but the Bathurst 2014 track is now put on the server while the download track is Bathurst 2016. Therefore it does not work at the moment.

I already prepared a setup which I will put in the received folder. So everyone can use it for the final race. The track is already difficult enough as it is ;).

Hi... saw that it was fixed now. In last weeks race someone asked to share my setup. So I put it in the received folder "Dissenter DNF3". It is setup to my personal driving style off course. Feel free to try it. Maybe we will have a nice competitve final race on Sundays. CU later.

Agree, great drive by Caitlin, I could keep up the first few laps until I went wide in the final corner and damaged my right front suspension. After that it was a lot harder because turning left in slow corners was awful... Could still keep up until I went wide after the first corner and did a 360... Which costed me 10s. After that I could not close the gap anymore but made more and more mistakes and got more and more damage. Finally I limped the car home in 2nd place...

Yes... I am glad to have my 1st Championship in the pocket. Up to the next series...

Come join the rF2 Porsche Cup series. We need a few more people there. The car is DLC € 4,99 I think with some great tracks.
The Nords is also DLC, but we use it twice in the series.

Bathurst was great! I knew that Gert-Jan wouldn't be able to pass me if I drove slowly and carefully in the early stages, so that's what I did in order to prevent any mistakes. After I saw him clonk the wall behind me I just kept my head down and finished.

Thanks for the series, guys! I enjoyed this one. I just wish I could have made more rounds of it. I could have challenged Jert-Jan for his championship. Oh well, at least I got a 100% record in the races I did make!

Congrats on the championship @Gert-Jan van Osch ! You were a tough cookie to beat.
