    Q surprisingly good!
    R pace surprisingly good!
Never done a porsche cup event and longest stint done must be like 5 laps so will find more im sure with little testing.
starting laps was nervous and lost few seconds to lead. it stayed 3-5 to leader allmost whole race until i went little wide while calculating fuel!
no clue how i managed to take 10liters too little off it.
dropped to 4th on pits and finished there.

  2. Apologies everyone for my ridiculous start I’d completely forgotten it was a rolling start!
Thought I’d nailed the start off the line and charged down the middle gap.......like a fool!
    hope I didn’t spoil anyone’s race.

    Qual:
Although I disconnected, I still managed to set a reasonable time.

    Race:
I had damage before the race started, as someone thought it was a standing start and I got slammed into the pitwall.
Had another big crash after 20 minutes or so when I got a tank slapper and torpedoed into the gard rail with my nose. More damage. After that 2 more crashes when I pushed too hard on worn tires :D. Good fight with Johnny again in between. I was too impatient to take it easy and wanted to make up for lost time, so I cooked the tires.
    Still had good fun.

Grads to the winner Jason Whited well done!!
    See you all later.

  4. Sincere apologies, it was me that thought it was a standing start, I simply saw the lights go off and nailed it, brain fade! I don’t recall hitting anyone though as I had no damage?

Really enjoyable (and exhausting) race. Ales put the pressure on for sure in this one!
Felt like everyone had become a bit faster since the last race, and I didn't have much practice time to tune specifically for the track, nor had I done any longer runs...so I had no real idea what to expect.
I ate up the fronts before realizing my brake bias was causing issues. Too little, too late when I adjusted for it, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to hold Ales off if he started putting up too much fight.

Built a decent 3 second or so gap, after taking the lead, but I kept having lock up issues and the gap would disappear again.
Never a moment to breath, or so it felt. Less than a second at the line and I was praying there was not 1 more lap (I would have ran out of fuel, I screwed up my calculations slightly)

Thanks to those we overlapped for being observant. Well behaved field of good, clean drivers here.

Grats to other podium guys, and all survivors (which I think was most of us....?)
And, I'll say it every race......big thanks to John for hosting this! (Did I mention I LOVE this car! :D)

Nords up next, and then VIR? Ahhh yes, this is a dream series for me!

The Quali: It was good and I had a clean Quali, I got 12th with only 0.009s from 11th.

The Race: The start was a bit of a mess (Is there any problem with the built in rolling start why we don't use it?). The first few laps was hard because the brakes and the tyres were cold so it was like driving on ice. No brake effect and no grip. But after 3-4 laps finally everything stared to work. I was really slow on the main straight (0.5-0.8s loss every time) but gained it back in the corners. I managed to get up to 12th place after the struggle at the beginning and I held this place 2-3s ahead of Jens Roos. But in the last 10mins the tyres are just gone and the ice skating came back so I fell back to 16th and finished there.

I think this track wasn't as good as Canada (maybe the programming was worse) so after few laps of practice my only goal was to survive somehow.

Congrats to the podium guys. :)

    See you next time.

I was driving along side you when I saw Chris in my review mirrors and hit you. Basically my race went a bit the same as yours. My qualification could be better. I should have set the brake balance a bit more forward the last couple of laps but did not think about that. I also pushed to hard in the early stages to catch Andy Lawrence, but that cost me my rears. A lot of oversteer (even when accelarating cautiously). I could manage to make up some place due to other people spinning. You spun twice in front of me.

I should have taken more care about the tires then I think a top 5 would be possible but I am quite shure I could not make the podium this race.

    CU next time

It's not practical to use it in this series.
The game would let you do a full lap of the Nordschleife behind the pace car. The other reason is that I want to be consistent in the way each race starts.
So we'll just do it manually. The pole sitter starts the race exciting the last corner.

how do we start on Nord anyway ?

We will do a formation lap on the Nurburgring GP track (Endurance Series version) and the pole sitter will start the race when he goes left to enter the Nordschleife track.

Caitlyn Penny had the same issue at Guangdong circuit in the Asia Endurance series last week. She managed to fix it before the race. Give her a PM and see what the fix was :)

Read the chat as John did state it was a rolling start. I saw you punt someone into the wall so yeah not a great start. It's also in the race brief on the website. :)

Haven't yet found the sweet spot in these cars. But I think I'm far from being the only one. These cars are difficult beasts. I qualified in the mid pack and was thankful for the rolling start. Think a standing start could produce a bit of mayhem. The opening laps were good and I got into a rhythm that allowed me to lap faster than my qualy lap. Always find chasing a car makes me concentrate more. As with the first race I made up places without overtaking anyone as others span out and I finished an unworthy 5th. I think being a little slower has its benefits in these cars. Can't believe that Toni pitted for fuel and still beat me. That shows just how off the pace I am.

Oh crap its the Green Hell next. In these cars it will be just that. I did a couple races in the SRO series last year so hopefully the track layout is still up there in my mushy pea brain ;)

Where can I find the replay from this race?
I know I grabbed the Mosport one...can't remember where I found it. I'm guessing in downloads, but perhaps not uploaded yet?

    Thanks in advance.

  19. I saw all of the notices about it being a rolling start, but just forgot in the heat of the moment when the red lights went out. It was John that went into the pit wall, for which I’m truly sorry, but as I said to him, I don’t recall hitting him and my car had no damage?

It happened and now we move on. I understand that you mean well, so it's not a problem.
See you in the next race. :)
