Sorry Laurent I had good start and I was up your inside into turn 1 I did not see Tim on your other side till it was to late ,"you was the meat in the C & S sandwich":D .
Tim come off worst sorry bud.
After that had some good battles up until my pit stop after exiting there was a Red Ferrari up along side I thought I would back off and give him line into Maggots but it got messed up some how and I ended up spinning  then more battles think Mr Balli though putting up a great fight still had to pit so it was kind of a waste:rolleyes:
All in all it was a great race really enjoyed it :D:D:D.
Need to watch the replay for full info.

On my inside, there was barely any room there !? 3-wide through T1, that wasn't going to work.. Luckily it didn't ruin our races.

Imo it looks like I left enough room, it's just because you got tapped from the rear that we collided. Luckily my car, although almost flipping over, wasn't damaged and I could continue in last place. The first halfhour was filled with battles everywhere. Especially the battle with Mark Jones and Taner Selvi was a good one. But boy oh boy, this car really suffers from a severe tire drop after a few laps where it becomes tricky to drive it for the next four laps. For the rest the pace was awesome, in the second stint as well. It still came as a surprise to me to finish that high up on the podium after the lap1 incident so no complaints here! :)
Also glad with the turnup. 24 people, this must have been the biggest grid I ever participated in!

    See you all at Zolder,

    Cheers,

    Tim

Well my race was short .
Way off the pace with people passing me all too easily, Found some grip but just kept getting it all wrong. I decided to retire as I would only get in the way once I was being lapped.
Just dont know how to go faster, demoralised and my confidence is now completely zero.

I am going to get some practice in before the next race and I need to analyse my driving and work on my technique

Will be there for the next one though:)

  11. Just found the brake disc settings:

-- Pad 1: Very aggressive friction coefficient, max braking performance, aggressive disc and pad wear. Pedal modulation can be tricky if out of temperature or as it wears down. Use in hotlap and qualifying sessions, sprint races and can withstand 3 hours races. Risky and dangerous to use over 3 or 4 hours because the pads will wear down, overheat and lose linearity in brake pedal.
-- Pad2: Very Good friction coefficient, very good braking performance, good disc and pad wear. Pedal modulation almost always good and linear, good feedback while overheating and gradual wear. Can be used in hotlap and qualifying sessions as well as sprnt races as what it loses in performance, regains in braking modulation and predictability. Excellent choice for long endurance races, easily makes 12 hours and can make 24 hours race too with a bit of care. Will also overheat and lose linearity in brake pedal feel when worn out, but in a more predictable way and after much longer stints.
-- Pad3: Moderate friction coefficient, braking zones can be longer in dry, very moderate disc and pad wear. Excellent pedal modulation also in cold ambient conditions, very linear pedal feedback. Excellent choice for wet conditions and very long endurance races. Very predictable and easy to modulate brake pad.
-- Pad 4, extreme aggressive fiction coefficient. Max braking performance, extremely aggressive disc and pad wear, bad cold performance. This is a sprint race pad that can last about an hour but will show worse pedal feel, worse performance and overheating towards the end of the one hour stint. Those kinds of pads are not used in endurance racing, but included for demonstration purposes.

I was on 4, thinking it would just give the biggest pads which would give best wear, but that predicted hour that Kunos gives, was closer to 20 minutes for me :p

Enjoyed this race, albeit at the back :) Managed to get a half hours practice in, started well and was keeping up with the guys in front of me till I had a spin clipping the inside kerb at copse. No mistakes after that though and had some good racing with those around me. I need to do more practice for next round though so I can start the race doing the times I finished with :)

Tried them in a 20m race too once. Thought I was being clever. The last 7 min or so I was skating about like a drunken sailor.
