Live and learn. That's my take-away from this round at Brands Indy. From our two previous events, I was fairly confident of making the distance on a full fuel load but as it turned out, I came up four minutes short. I ignored the warning gauge indicating that I was running low but felt sure that I could make it. Sigh...

Some good fun dicing with a few people which was compensation for my DNF. Set a new PB in the race which can't be bad. Apologies to Tim for the rather clumsy wave-by down stream of Druids. I made that rather more difficult for you than was necessary.

Grats to Tim on the victory. Well done to Andrew and Phil for the remaining podium spots.

This combo was great fun, having learnt from last week's mistake I found time earlier in the week to get some laps in and a better setup.
The end of practice looked like it would give a fantastic battle with 3 of us contending the lead by a tiny margin.
Somehow I pulled a near perfect qualification lap though and found myself quite comfortably on pole. I fully expected Andrew to make me work for every lap of the race.
I pulled a decent gap on the first lap (not sure how!) and then seemed to squeek away a tenth or so a lap on average.
I guess Andrew ran wide somewhere as at some point he dropped a few seconds back, after this I was safe to just concentrate on bringing it home.

Congrats to Andrew and Phil on the podium, and thanks to the back markers for generally being very helpful (no probs Doni, I think we both misread each other if I'm honest). Although to be honest I have no idea what was going on with the driver who rejoined after an accident at druids and drove straight into my drivers door while I was going by??

Whoops that was me Tim, after coming together with Roel and then getting back underway again . The get up and go from standing still was not as quick as I anticipated and a bit clumsy in getting in your way. I'll take a D/T at the next race for my misdemeanour.

Don't worry about a drive through Ken, it had zero impact on my race - was just very odd is all!
