Servers Up ! This is the last round of the Tuesday events .. Series 3 starts April 4th on Saturdays as we step it up to 75 min races ! check it out HERE

On that note seeing how the Tuesday events have good attendants I was thinking of keeping the Tuesday ACC racing going with the FKR Prep Series , this will mirror the series 3 & 4 events by racing on that weeks track every other Tuesday so its like a prep race for the Saturday races but with short no pit stop 30 min sprint races .. Pluss its own scoring and champion !
Let me know if this sounds like something you guys would be into !
    Thanks !

That is a good idea keeping ACC for a Tuesday as well.
Nice short races will be ideal to get us ready for the main event on the Saturday :)

That rain in the end was fun imo. Hope there is more wet races in future. Grats Simon Gymer to winning championship, and podium guys too! I think it is not very common to win championship without any podium places.

  12. His team isn't called Team Shark for nothing, you don't see him until it's too late and he swims off with the trophy.

Well, I hadn't driven Misano since it was released in early-access I think. If I recall correctly there was a special event with the old Bentley back then. So I went for that. Aggressive preset had too much power oversteer, so I went with the Safe preset setup for qualifying and the race.

I didn't manage to put a good lap together in qualifying.. that was frustrating. First part of the race wasn't too good either. I think I started on used tires.. After the pit stop I was behind Dennis. I tried to overtake him quickly but was surprised by his early braking and hit him .. I had a look at the replay and that was indeed the case, maybe I should have anticipated it, so sorry Dennis. I was in P4 when the rain hit and I pitted for wet tires. I thought it was the perfect timing but it turns out not everyone pitted for wet tires. I have no idea how realistic this actually is for GT3 cars to run dry tires in such conditions. I was quite sure everybody would have to pit or would go off at every corner on track .. Passed Frans in the last turn of the last lap for P6. I suppose that is the difference between wet and dry tires.. much more traction.

At least the fun part of ACC races is how dynamic they are. Feels much more like real racing than AC races for instance. Although right now I only start ACC for these races and find myself going back to AC more often.

Well done Simon with the championship ! And Henri for the win once again :)

Not my best race and I was left a bit frustrated - bad driving on my part on the fist 2-3 laps, resulting in a slide which put me at the back and it was all uphill from there. Not experienced or fast enough (yet) to be comfortable at overtaking and then the rain hit, which again played into my lack of experience. Good lessons and I set a new personal lap record too so that was good.

Thanks guys, although, I have no idea if I've actually won the championship! Can we get the results soon?

Loved the pit stops and weather changes in this series, was a nice additional challenge from the usual consistently dry races with no pit stops, really added an element of strategy that can help out drivers like me who are above average but not exceptionally quick.

I didn't put a single lap of practice in (I never have time or the desire) and finishing 4th/5th in most races was a massive surprise especially when I usually qualified in the bottom half. I set out to finish races inside the top 10, so I really wasn't expecting to be part of any championship battle. I'm always faster in the races than qualifying so I always start races in a positive frame of mind because I know that, unless I crash out, I will be finishing further up than I started.

It just shows you that if you stay out of trouble and you are consistent that having "enough" pace will bring you a decent level of success. The rain certainly played into my hands (especially at Zolder), but if you have experience, don't overdrive and have a willingness to give a place up to avoid crashing out then you will do well as the races tend to come back to you if you are patient.
