This thread will also be used for all general information regarding the running of this multi-sim series, which includes races for both rFactor2 (4) and rFactor (1). Specific details for each of those races will also be available at: https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/forums/macau-magic-gt3.412/ https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/forums/macau-magic-gp3.413/ https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/forums/macau-magic-bmw-e90.411/ https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/forums/macau-magic-jcw-mini.410/
As previously announced here https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/threads/new-multi-sim-series.3790/ this will be a multi-sim series using Assetto Corsa, rFactor 2 and rFactor 1, comprising a total of 9 races reflecting the Annual Macau GP meeting, with minor changes due to mod availability. To encourage as many SRO members as possible to participate, irrespective of their experience and/or skill level, all the races will be run using the default setup for each car as provided by the sim and the servers will be setup to only allow this. However some optional setup options will be free to choose e.g. brake bias, giving some freedom in personal choice and hardware configuration. The races will also only use either default or free car/track mods, so no additional monetary outlay is required to participate. The points scored in each race are shown on the Race Settings tab on the event page, but there will also be Bonus points added after the final race, based upon how many races you have run. This system is hopefully intended to prevent a runaway winner grabbing a big enough lead after a handful of races and then not running the remaining events. This series is all about going the whole distance and giving everyone a chance of getting reasonable results. The impact of the Bonus points awarded could make a significant difference to your total score, so the more races you run, the more points you will get. The points to be awarded will remain secret, so there can be no manipulation in trying to work out whether it's important to run those final races or not. All the races will run for a specified number of laps, matching those in the 2019 Real World event https://www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo/en/ Setup Options Allowed Brake Pressure Brake Bias Fuel Level Steering Lock Soft Tyres only
Is anyone else having problems downloading the TCR Pack? I've been trying for 3 days now and the d/l always fails.
Come on guys, what else are going to do when you are stuck at home with nothing better to do! Let's see some more entries and support for this different multi-sim series we are running.
Can you give me some clarification on the default setup as the server seems to allow you to change everything. Maybe on the race things change? This will be my first race with you, do I have the facility for live chat or is it only by keyboard? thanks
Hi David and welcome to this race/series . The intention was as above in the series preamble, to run all the races in this multi-sim (rF/rF2/AC) series using only default setups, however with the AC TCR races it has not been possible to do that due to the complexity of modifying the server files directly on our stand-alone dedicated server. For the first TCR race I requested everybody to use only the default setup to respect the intention of the series in levelling out the playing field, at least a little. For the next two TCR races I am also asking that everyone does the same again. You are however allowed to change fuel level, brake pressure/bias, steering lock and also use Soft tyres. We do not mandate the use of voice during the race, although you are free to use our Teamspeak server https://www.simracingonline.co.uk/forums/teamspeak-servers.119/ to chat to anyone else who wishes to. We do not allow text chat in either the Qualifying or Race sessions, but it is OK to use it during Practice and also when everyone in the race has crossed the finish line.
