No, Eagle was an American manufacturer using Toyota engines I mean.
You're right that some did both, but the cars would have been to different rule books depending on series.
That could effect fuel tank size, power, wheel sizes, weight. Whatever!
As I said, I don't know the difference enough to comment how close they should be :)

This TC Legends demo race was in the wrong thread. I've moved it to the TC Legends thread.

Great looking mod. Love the Imp. Think that driver should be banned from SRO though ;)

Don't know that track maybe one to consider.

A very nice video John :). I just love the look of those Cortina's, Imps & MG's of yesteryear.
But my, my, how SOFT are those springs!!

Hi guys, the DRM mod also gets my vote. A great mod indeed.
    All the best.

  9. The GTL mod looks really good, hopefully the Yank tanks are better in that mod than the TC Legends mod.

The deadline for voting will be 1 week from today.

We have to upload the chosen mod to 3 servers and process all the cars into our system for result processing.
Furthermore, I will need you guys to do a test race to see what game names the cars will produce and how the results will come out with 3 DRM classes.

    Hi guys,
The cars from the DRM mod are very good. Lots of effort is put into them and you can see and feel that. However as you already discovered there is quite some performance difference over the cars. So it would mean driving in two divisions, but will need plenty of drivers to make it interesting. Or try to balance the cars by handicapping the faster cars. This will mean some more testing first.
However, how much I like these DRM cars, I don't think it is much fun running TC Legends and DRM at the same time. So my suggestion is to run the TC Legends firstly and after that the DRM mod. That way we have plenty of time to test the DRM cars some more.
Any other alternative secondary series from another era is fine by me.

One series at a time sounds good to me. I think we'll all want to spend some time testing the cars so we can be sure which one to pick.

I agree with Stefan ,TC Legends followed by DRM . Both would make for a great series .

    Hello everybody !
As said above, DRM mod is very well made and we can feel it. I had bought it when it was half priced for black friday. Only had done a couple test laps since.
Something is bugging me though : I tested some of them a bit more, and I see there is no need of clutch use for upshifting neither downshifting, not even need of rev matching.. (While I'm always set to 100% damage offline). Is this normal ? o_O
If not it's a shame that this particular aspect isn't realistically modelled. I don't say it is, I just ask to the guys who better know those DRM real things.

Does that stop you using clutch and rev matching if you like it so much? ;)

    It's immersive killing.
And I love air and racing sims (classic car racing and classic planes above all) because they make me feeling I'm in the car/plane.

In a few words, I hate everything that is killing realism.
I watched some DRM onboards, and it looks like the drivers couldn't hope upshifting or downshifting without using precisely the clutch/heel&toe or they'd had dropped their gearbox on the track.
That said, I love what look to me to be positive aspects of this mod pack : most of the handling, sounds, textures..

To answer your question, it wouldn't be the 1st time I drive a car in AC that unfortunately isn't realistic enough transmission-wise but keep using clutch/heel&toe for every up/downshift even if makes me slower than what would be possible. But it's a shame, it's always a trade-off to me. I keep dreaming of a true wonderful classic racing simulator one day. Maybe in the 2030s... When everybody will remember how much this was driving.
