Server up?

It is online you have to keep refreshing multiplayer it will show.

When you find it you will need to set the server up it should be on Brands but you will need to change from race to practice and change the car.
I will be online for 10 minutes if you need me to set it.

 

Doug the way the PC2 server works is that it's only up and running when somebody is on it. There is a background multiplayer session running which you have to select after creating the online server settings in the game menu. It's named <<<Sim Racing Online>>> in the list displayed when you click on join. It's a very odd way do doing things, at least for sites or Leagues like SRO, but I suppose it made sense to SMS when they created it.

I think it was probably to make it more of a peer-to-peer operation, but who knows.

 

Yes as long as somebody is on the server it will be available for anybody else to join.

 

The server will not be running unless it has already been created by the first person joining it. As discussed above, PC2 does not work in the same way as any other racing sim when it comes to server creation/setup.
For our races, the SRO Admin will normally setup the server 1-2 hrs before Qualifying begins.

I have been refreshing multiplayer list for 20 minutes no sign of the server.

 

I also had that problem Nigel. My lobby was only showing 44-53 servers when Ed's was showing over 100 Eventually it just appeared in the list. Will need to look into that particular problem for a resolution, if there is one.

 

I spent more than 20 minutes refreshing.
First race was fun and looking forward to the 2nd race.

Perhaps we need to change it not sure why it is like this <<<simracingonline>>>
