rFactor 2 Le Mans single event June 20 2020

Thanks @Andrew Harper and @Ken Jagger for the info.
The last time I really used rF2 was just after the change to DX11. I thought that there would have been more plugins for DX11 by now. So much for thinking .
At the time I did start doing something with simhub so if more rF2 races that are in my time slot come up will need to take another look at that. In the meantime will have to use what is available and look at the ffb clipping with MoTec.

 

Probably a silly question but as its my first race on SRO, do you guys use a discord server? if so how can i join?

I admittedly don’t always use it (TS caused me to lose connection with a server once) but I’ll be on there for this one I would imagine.

I’m sure if the admins feel they’ll be enough takers a discord channel may be set up.

 

@Andrew Harper Not sure what you mean about Simhub not being updated? It gets updates quite frequently. A new update was just released today.

 

I'm only going by the version on Race Department my friend. The last update was 2017/18

If it has an official site then by all means link away, I saw in the reviews that people who donated got an up to date version? So not sure if you are a registered user, etc.

I can't risk using it unfortunately. I find that whenever I run RF2 in a window it badly effects the performance of the game, windowed is fine for screenshots when I'm doing liveries and things but not great for actual racing. Not an issue so I don't worry about it. Probably just an issue with my setup that it doesn't like.

Like other plugins once the sim went over to DX11 it rendered it useless which is a shame

Could you expand on the reason around that exception for this event?
The whole point of the penalty should be affect the driver in the current race, and benefit the punted driver,
not any future event the two (or more) drivers might or might not not attend together in.

Why not apply option 3 from the existing rules?
3.1 Punting

If you have already been issued a drive-through penalty, you will be given a time penalty sufficient enough to drop you in the final standings. The time penalty is not constant and can vary by situation.

 

Yep, I used it when rF2 was in DX9. As you say, it is a shame.

Well I’m so glad this event is a few weeks away. Lol

on Tuesday night at my evening job a customer dropped a bottle of fabric conditioner; the bottle broke and some of it went into my face.

thought I’d got away with it but Thursday and Friday my right eye lid has swollen like a bloody golf ball. Lol.

it is an infection and I’ve got some drops and gel from the doctor but I can’t see very well so I’m soooo relieved the race is on the 20th haha.

I’ll see how I feel tomorrow, need to start practicing, I see there’s some serious lappery happening already

 

I have the Endurance pack and the track, but when I log in the server there is no car to select (except the pace car )
What could be the issue here?

 

Yes on all your questions.
I'm sure it is the right server.
I have the latest build and steam updates are on automatic.
The Vehicle list is empty.
I checked another (non SRO) server and all seems well on that server..
I'm lost. I will try another SRO server to see if that's the same.
