General TCL league page

Me (300 SEL ) and Jari (Imp ) went some random server last nite, great battles against 2 guys with BMW & Toyota. Cars offer quite equal racing at Outon Park, I bet we gonna get great series with these....

 

Please put me in the RX-3 for now. Haven't driven the other cars yet, but this one was already good fun to drive!

 

I'd really want to pick the Mini Cooper but I think I will get destroyed with a top speed of 200kph.

Otherwise my vote would go to the BMW 2002 or the Ford Escort I think.

 

I like it a lot Probably because it is so different from all other cars..

 

I thought the Mini was horrible, it has such extreme power understeer . How did you cure that?

 

I only drove default setup. It does have horrible power understeer which is also kind of fun. It's a FWD, you can throw it into the corner and get on the throttle real hard and skid to the outside of the road

 

Doesn't drive like any mini I've ever driven, the sound is awful as well. Also I have no set up adjustment for the mini ,is that the same for everyone or did my download not work properly?

 

Just driven it and it feels OK. Lift off oversteer is the way to drive a mini. Get the back steering for you to avoid the catastrophic understeer. There doesn't seem to be much you can adjust on it - no suspension, no dampers. just brake bias, fuel and tyres. Again I'm not that technical you guys do tend to analyse these things way more than I do.

 

Ack, my AC is broken, not sure what happened. I was testing cars yesterday evening and all was fine. Now it loads into the track, black screen, user interface half responding, car stats empty.. clearly init is not done. App is not responding. I spent 2 hours already trying to fix it, file integrity check, reinstall csp, inactive csp, original launcher, original content, reinstalled sol, disabled apps.. always the same. I probably have to reinstall from scratch.

 

Have you deleted the User data. Take a copy first. Then delete and see what happens. If it fixes it then you can go through the user data and see what files have been recently modified and try and find the corrupted file, or make a new user profile but you end up loosing any data like lap records, etc. Maybe a corrupted file somewhere in there. The user data doesn't get deleted when you uninstall from steam I think. Hope you get it fixed

AC is working again! I did a clean install and that didn't solve it either.. Turns out the issue was that I swapped to my regular wheel this morning (I tried the RSS F2 2020 car last evening with my F1 wheel).. and it was not fully connected or so and the driver was not responding.. aargh. A lot of time wasted on this.. the good thing is I moved AC to another disk now where I have more free space left

I have a special request. The Mini Cooper S included with TCL is the car from Pessio that was released on RD. However, Pessio updated that car with a 2.0 version since with completely remade 3D model and physics by arch. The new version has a gearbox that can go to 212kph, has the setup options you usually have and the physics are quite better, although harder to drive and easy to spin, but I still like it. I would suggest using this version instead of the one from the TCL pack. I'm not picking this to gain an unfair advantage, I am 2 seconds faster per lap in the Mustang right away.

I suppose that is how you configure it yourself here on SRO?

 

No objections changing to the updated mini as long as isn't too quick for the pack. But I thought you wanted to stick with the TCL pack to avoid file mismatches. If not then how's about adding the Jag E Type. It is an addon for the TCL series
