the CSL is awful at this Nords 67 track, i groaned inwardly when i realised i had to suffer the awful ffb again for the last round :( nice to see i'm 'only' 8 seconds behind the lead time for this track  but the car is like a bucking bronco

Now that it's the last round, I can say it ... what an ablsolute sh*t car that Ferrari is. Like Tim said, on this track all the physics defects come to light (as on the Nordschleife and all short tracks).
It's like a brick with 4 wheels. I was duped by Highlands because it went oke there and had good top speed.

I can't hit a single bump on this track without the damn car becoming a bouncy castle.

Well, I can go 2 ways. Go flat out for speed with a pitstop, or go through without a stop, but I'm a few litres short on fuel, so that means fuel saving and I will have no tires left. Undecided yet.

I have an update I am testing at the moment for my fuel app. It has race mode now and shows the estimated fuel you will have at the end of the race taking your current fuel usage into account. That would enable you to try to coast and see if you need to save additional fuel or not to make it to the end. I can share it if you would like to try it out..

I think the bouncy-ness is an issue on all cars, not just the Ferrari. I noticed the suspension is also quite loose on the TCL mods for the Bazza physics cars, and I don't like that in particular. The cars lack weight to them IMO.

I'm sure it's a good app, but I have enough stuff installed in AC already. I'll just wing it :)

Haha, okay, it would have been a good test case :) I can't make this one without stopping.. too much fuel needed. I could have at Calabogie but I expected the race to have one extra lap, but the lead car pace was not that high.

I appreciate the mental support ;). Maybe I'll start a support group for drivers with traumatic GPL experiences. You don't have to carry this burden alone guys !!

First up, sorry to anyone involved in the T1 pileup. Laurent and I were side by side and touched - My replay starts after that so no idea who's fault (if anyone's) the accident was.

2nd for John: I had an off and fell through a hole in the track. I was dumped into the pits and serviced - as I didn't do an 'in' lap I did a drive through the following lap. This was around minute 30-35.

Aside from falling to the center of the earth and T1 it was a fun race fighting back up through the field.
Big shout to Jos for some excellent defensive driving near the end. I'd been given the full fuel load so couldn't out drag you even with good exits hence the do or die pass near the end :D

Congrats I think to Laurent and Phil for 2nd & 3rd in the championship and also thanks to John for organising and Caitlin for the commentary.

I think I'm going to pad on the TCL series and concentrate on Formula Easter - I'll be back for DRM though!

It was my pleasure @Tim Muttram. The highlight of the championship having the illusion of fighting and holding the champion for a podium position for more than 2 laps...
I obviously need much more practice before the races as I can see how my times improve significantly during the races. But there is an element of fun in this as well. I had plenty of luck yesterday, starting on 10th and finishing 4th. A bit of a correction for the problems I had on the Nords course.
Congrats to the podium and championship winners!
Well done @John vd Geest for setting this great series and thanks to @Caitlin Penny for the live commentary.
All the best and see you in another series!

I couldn't resist the challenge of this track so I joined for this final round. I decided to sit out qualifying in order to keep out of the way and start at the back of the grid but after the mayhem of early lap shunts I found myself circulating inside the top 10. I had great fun dicing with Mark, James and Kimi and was happy to get to the chequered flag in P13.
Congrats to Tim on taking the title and thanks to John for putting the series together and to Caitlin for broadcasting these brilliant races.

Great track but very tricky in combination with the ACL due to the suspension.. just like at the Gesamtstrecke.

Had a good start from the line together with Tim. I went to the outside and left room turning into T1. I had to move to the left not the hit the wall before going under the bridge. I was side by side with Tim and we touched slightly from my point of view, nothing I think would have caused him to spin. I don't have the replay from the start either sadly. I was afraid mayhem would happen there as it is like a bottleneck..
Paul was keeping up well for the first part of the race. There were 2 places where my car would bounce a lot and Paul was able to close a lot in those places, seems like he was able to keep the throttle down while I couldn't. He missed his braking and slid into my back at some point that made me hit the fence, but it wasn't too bad, I think he spun around. From then on I concentrated on putting good laps down.. and win the race!

Congratulations Tim on the championship! Well deserved! I am glad I was able to put up a challenge in some rounds.

Phil could have maybe jumped me for P2 in the championship.. his qualifying pace was great and if he had had the lead from the start, maybe it would have been difficult to keep ahead, maybe. I'm glad he didn't win races just because he didn't have to pit but won them on pace as well!

Thanks John for organizing this championship! It was good fun as always!

Thanks to Caitlin for the broadcasts. I love watching them.

And to all others who participated in these rounds. With around 20 drivers or more for each round this series was a huge success!

bit of a disaster of a race for me all round, with the odd bit of exciting racing thrown in sposmadically too. (disliked this track anyway because of the CSL's wonky physics/ffb). Even before i reached T1 someone managed to punt me around (on the straight!!) from behind into a whole pack of advancing cars. After several hits i then got just a few metres more to T1 where there was another almighty melee going on and i was thumped into the concrete wall by someone.
Not sure where i ended up position wise but the opening laps were a complete mess of cars going off/contacts...was everyone drunk!? o_O i got punted off a third time by someone bulldozing their way forward for position. After that it calmed down into actual racing and was pretty enjoyable for a while having battles with various cars, including some fun battles with Bill in the CSL. Gradually got back upto 8th i think. Made my stop for new tyres after 40minutes and lost a few places but gained them again when they stopped apart from the no-stopping 906's. I was 9th on the last laps but for whatever reason the race went one lap longer than i thought and i was down to 3L of fuel  i literally ran out of gas on the back straight of the last lap but had just enough momentum to coast around the last 3 corners to the s/f line but whilst watching two efficient Porsches pass me in the last few metres :( Finished a sorry 11th
Really enjoyed the series and the fantastic cars with some brilliant racing along the way.
Big thanks to John for organising and well done to Tim on the championship and all the good racers. Great weekly attendance too :)
