Join the Endurance Racing league

    When I tested the Aston Martin, Ferrari and Ford at Le Mans, they were all pretty much within a second of each other, with the Ferrari being the fastest with a 3.59.xxx.
    There is a single event at Daytona Road Course coming up with the LMP2 and all the GTE's. Let's see what happens there. If need be, we can put some weight on cars who need it for BOP.

    Just saw this. YES! Looking forward to this.

    Bit of a heads up though:

    I ran a race on the S397 Le Mans track a couple weeks ago and they had a big problem with the start procedure where a full course yellow would be called seconds after the cars got the green for the rolling start - because everybody didn't move soon enough apparently. Didn't happen when they tested with AI.

    This was before the big TV event, so hopefully that has been fixed by now.

    Glad you joined Barrett. Not to worry. We are working around that by setting the server to "standing start" and then do the formation lap manually.

    The first official league event is up already. Daytona 2.4 hours with the other cars. If it's successful, the league members for a complete series will roll in :)

    Cool. Maybe you want to sign up for our first League event where we will see if there is enough interest for this concept.

    The only one I know of is the URD mod.

    However it hasn't been updated for some time now. I don't believe it has the new shader requirements for example and the tyre model is way behind the current one.

    If I had the knowledge I'd gladly update them as they are well made and the detail is good on them.

    The "official" replacement is the McLaren Hypercar by S397 and that's what the VEC use in their current league championships.

    I'll be setting up the Endurance Racing League series within a few weeks.

    1) I would like to read some more track requests for the series. Preferably 6 per person.
    2) I propose 6 events, 3 x 90 minutes and 3 x 2,4 hours.

    I voted yes to EGT because I already bought it as it was on promotion, for the rest S397 said: "For people who don't own the content yet, we're working on releasing it as a pack, just in time for the upcoming summer sale! "

    Personally I'd like to see all races at least 2 hours long. This is endurance racing. 1.5 hours just seems a bit too short. :)

    Why not use the Global Endurance Cup mod, and add a class.. the mod works great, it's based on the s397 payed mods, and we could use the lmp1 car (which is awesome by the way)... (10 cars per class, or something like that)


    just a thought

    As tracks go.. each one of the mentioned so far are great
    To that list I would add

    Fuji and Sochi

    If people have to buy 2 or 3 additional GTE cars, then a field of 10 GTE's is too small. Apart from that, the GT class is more popular than the LMP's. The grid has to reflect that.
    2 classes of LMP's and 1 GTE class is out of balance. That mod is also still in development. Maybe something for the future.

    We have Sochi in the download section, but not Fuji. There is a low-grade Fuji on Steam that has issues.
    If you can find a good Fuji version than we can put that on the list.

    I hope that Mont Tremblant makes the final list. That track is so much fun and looks just as good as the S397 tracks.
    Buy that track instead of the Ford EGT LOL. Is cheaper too.

    I'll just won't be practicing as much as i did this last le mans race to avoid the disappointment.. ahahh
