rFactor 2 Round1 Hockenheim GP

I've been trying to join the server for a few days now, but the cars don't show up. I used the link on the race page and purchased the rF2 T5 2018 from the URD site and installed the .rfcmp into the Packages folder, and went into the game Content and made sure they are installed but no cars show up on the server. I can see the T5 Touring 2018 cars in the game ok when I go to practice offline, but nothing shows up when I try to join the server. Confused as to what I've done wrong this time.

my quick set, dont blame me if it doesnt work in long stint.

:edit: it didnt let me choose correct mod and not sure about the track but its for this event nevertheless.

 

In my Content I have all three of the URD_T5_2018 cars but in Versions 1.0, 2.055, and DTMv2.1. The 2.055 and the DTMv2.1 don't respond when I click on them so I can't uninstall or delete them. I don't see those files in Packages so I'm not sure where they are coming from. I tried deleting the SRO DTM 2018 R1 but still no luck.

 

I finally figured out how to unregister the skinpack from Steam, after much agony. But it makes no difference. I give up. It's become more of a pain in the ass then it's worth.

Same here. No cars on server. I have the cars on single player

Hi @Edward Jones I make it to work. I also had the 2.1 skin pack.
So, after unsubscribe in Steam, go to rfactor2 folder (in x:\steam\SteamApps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles
Here you will have some folders URD_T5_Maures_2018, URD_T5_Aura_2018 and URD_T5_Bayro_2018. This is OK.
You must delete the following folders (I move them in another location): URD_T5_Aura, URD_T5_Bayro and URD_T5_Maures.
Restart rFactor 2. Enjoy (I hope this will help you)

 

@Ken Jagger It is working. I edited my first post with the steps to fix this issue.

 

The "uninstall" button in content tab was gray (disabled).

 

I joined the server for practi/qual/race. For some reason the track was a lot slippery'er than running OL. I had to change the setup and modify all my brake pts to accomidate the track grip. This is the first time this has happened @ SRO for me, it seems I have the same TC/ABS settings.
Does anyone have any input on this or have the same experience.

 

Q was little disappointement. had gone faster without drs so was hoping to go under 1.31 but that didnt happen

1st stint was easy in race. Competition got little stuck and never got the drs on me. Felt like my tyres lasted better aswell with heavy car and could do 2 clicks down on engine too to save fuel.
I actually figured all are going for non-stopper so when @Goncalo Brites stopped, i had to actually check his lap times did he get tyres or not
So he undercut, well passed on hairpin but got the cap down for a pass and that was the start of 2nd stint which was very hot.
Was pushing close and trying to find a pass but he defended his line well and was superior to me on hairpin and when finally he made a mistake and slide on last corner, i hit him so let him go again.
So we raced half a second a part nonstop and pushed until we touch again sidebyside little and both out to grass but his engine said goodbye and i won!

i wonder did you practice with abs and tc? as those were put off in server.

in general i would encourage you to allways practice without aids. it will improve your driving much more and when get it going, its very rewarding.
also running without aids and specially on slippery surface, will show you much more about the faults of car balance and suspension thus you get better setups.
with aids its easy to just brake and kick gaspedal but when adapting smoother use of pedals, it will speed you up even when using aids.
effects of weight distripution on exits entrys ..in simple. could go on and on and everytime tc kicks in, it slows you down.

final hint: cars go faster even on straights without traction control, specially on those more bumpy tracks!!

 

Maybe you figured it out, but Steam content (everything with an * after the name) can only be uninstalled by unsubscribe in the workshop.
If you delete them manually they will get back at some point.

 

Yes, I unsubscribe. But, after that, online I didn't see any cars on server until I have deleted the specified folders
