You were in the Flat 6? There were 2 Flat 6 no-shows. I've mailed them. 2 x no-shows will be taken out of the series.

Surprised to quali 4th in the Porsche as most of my practise time was spent sorting out the game and some kind of race setup. My HUD wasn't showing driver positions and I think I might have unknowingly snuck into 3rd on the formation lap

Got slightly out of shape on lap 1 but was then tapped into a spin as I recovered which resulted in my wheel vibrating for the rest of the race  I had trouble with cars popping in and out of my mirrors so found it pretty stressful looking out for faster cars approaching. Also noticed some strange lag type behaviour from cars in front which was very off putting. Eventually made back a few places as others made mistakes but then the car in front lost it and came back on track right into my path. Decided I'd had enough and quit the race.

It was only my 2nd race in rF2 having had the game since its release and I've spent so much time recently trying to sort out the settings but it's still not doing it for me unfortunately. Decided to uninstall and concentrate on AC.

Man, that was a great first race with SRO. Quali was mental, the realroad was incredible. Starting third was so much higher than I was expecting, and to be surrounded by team mates was a weird new feeling. Spirits were high going onto the grid

On the warmup lap, one of my teammates got passed, which was a shame, and the single file rolling start lacked the anticipation of the double file starts I'm used to, but other than that, wow, what an opening.
The problems started when we started getting lapped by the DPI's. The aero wash pulled me out of line under braking, I'm pretty sure, and three me to the inside wall. Something to remember going forward, for me.

After that, hard battling, some incredibly good and responsible driving from the other classes. All the GT2's were excellent, and of note, the Konica Minolta DPI were superb. I will happily race against you all any day. There was a few objectionable passes by DPI's but past that, superb driving by all, and I'm seriously looking forward to the next round. Hopefully with more complete liveries next time from our team.
On that note, is there any kind of number scheme here, or is there not too much of a bother with it, as I noticed another GT3 and I had the same number. But completely different liveries, obviously.

No, there are no number schemes. Numbers are free for this series.
If you don't want duplicate numbers, you have to be aware of it yourself by analyzing the replay. :)

The list is a dynamic thing. You move up the list as people unregister going from red to green.

Well, my first rf2 online race wasn't to bad. As most practise was spend setting up the grafics and controls properly I found my pace got better during the race.
Altough I had a spin after downshifting too early entering a corner, I know you should not do that with a 911 that way. My race came to an end when i demolished my engine on an accidental downshift as my vr view was wonky after the 2nd pitstop and i didn't remember what key i had mapped for recentering my view and started hitting random key's and trying to race at the same time. Oh well, better prepared next round...

However I am still fighting some quirks here. First if I select the HUD it only appears if you enter the server for the second time (and the same when turning it off) That is normal behaviour?
And the LCD only came up after my first pitstop. Any way to toggle that differently? (didn't notice this in practice)

@Tudor Morris. Come on lad. At least try the next venue. We can have a good scrap then.

No, that's not normal. You should see that the first time you enter.

That is a shame because rF2 is AWESOME with the RIGHT mod / track combination.
IMHO the Enduroracers Flat 6 is not very good. Try a S397 car before going back(wards) to AC.

Is there a general way to indicate a pitting car? I'm used to having full comms with the whole group where we can state "P?? pitting".
The only way I can think of is cars that are pitting to put their lights on half lap before, but this would have to be a general practice for the series to avoid could be confused with lights showing for passing. I noticed that Oval racing there is an allowance for "Pitting in" text chat.
I got caught out a few times and just want to avoid it for future races.

Hi guys. Why is Dima Bellavin classified in the Corvette GT2 class? He was driving a Porsche.

Apologies for hi-jacking an old thread but just thought I would share this for those that use the whole DPi mod by RSS.

I've spent some time re-doing the Mazda liveries from scratch, complete with lots of details like helmets, racesuits, and lots of other changes.

The cars are now no longer Joest but simply Mazda Motorsports (and they are run by Multimatic who make the chassis)

Link and full details are here if you wish to download it.... :)
