Welcome to round 5 Korea International Circuit.

The Korea International Circuit is a 5.62 km (3.49 mi) motorsport circuit located in Yeongam, South Jeolla Province, South Korea, 400 kilometres south of Seoul and near the port city of Mokpo. It was the venue for the Korean Grand Prix from 2010 to 2013 after a $264 million (250 billion won) deal between Bernie Ecclestone and the Korean F1 promoter Korea Auto Valley Operation (KAVO – a joint venture between M-Bridge Holdings and Jeollanam-do regional government)

It was announced on 2 September 2009, that the funding was in place to start construction at the site, and officials were confident the work would be completed in time to hold a Grand Prix in 2010. On 10 December 2009, the organisers of the event announced that they were on schedule, with a plan to finish the circuit on 5 July 2010, though they admitted that their largest problem lay in finding accommodation for all Formula One staff and spectators.

German designer Hermann Tilke was given the responsibility of the design of the track. It is part permanent, part temporary. The temporary part is along the harbour side of the province where spectators from the promenade, hotels and yachts can view the race. Part of the city with possible exhibition facilities, shops, restaurants and cafes are utilized as the pit lane during the F1 Grand Prix weekend.

    Race starts at 13:05

    Had a fastastic run today.
Q was ok, 2 little slips and lost maybe tenth so well done for pole sitter.

    R
1st stint followed Caitlin who was little reckless so figured tyres wont last and can just follow and give pressure to make them tyres go out little faster.
I was abit worried if Johnny going without pitstop as tyrewear not so bad on this track. Im not sure if car can carry enough fuel to doit.

2nd stint was starting to get comfortable with car / track and was flying around. Did my pb 2.08.6 and drove mostly 2.09's. Had luxury to give porsches room and drove to win. Very satisfied on 2nd stint.

Before tonite, id say never drive this car again but seems i found little more out of it as season has gone by and its a great one. Specially fast corners, 4th gear up feels great and tonite could really throw it around comfortably. Great car. Just hard to get it going for race. Tyrewear etc so needs lots of laps to really enjoy it. But tonite was rewarding and felt amazing to drive around.

Can I report myself for driving standards? After that shambles of a start procedure (again) and people fail to read (again), I was so stressed that I started running like I'm in clear air. Apologies to @Barrett Erickson and @Peter Williamson for the flight of the Porsches but I was braking for *my* apex speed, not the traffic's. Decided to spear in front instead of taking you both out. Hope you can forgive me for the heart attack.
Rest of the race was a shambles from me, constant mistakes, overdriving the car. There's something I don't understand about the Flat6 cars that aren't present in other mods. If anyone wants to just give me a basic "What am I doing wrong" session, I would be super appreciative. These cars do not handle right.
Once I got into a rhythm, it wasn't too bad, tyre wear was, as always, a constant, which was fine, but it was consistent oversteer management, on throttle, off throttle, braking into the pits...
Nonetheless. With some (much better) team mates, I'm pretty sure the Team Championship goes to 3D Racing. Not bad for the first time racing RF2 in anger, and our first entry in SRO. Hopefully the next one, I'll actually represent our ability better

@Eike Sky No one can drive that car, the car takes you for the ride and only thing you need to do is press gas when the car asks for it.
In other words, the key is weight transfer and one beeing aware where its at.

But... the engine's behind the rear axle. None of the handling characteristics make any sense, unless it's like the really old (non gt3) 911's where they hadn't dialed in the chassis properly.
I've never had a Porsche handle like these, which is where I've had so much trouble. I see a dash I know, so I drive to how I know I "can." And then it spits at me because I didn't blip the throttle going from 4th to 3rd

I hated it when 1st drove it. Tried it on Mosport and found out how i missed it. Had been 2 years since last try.

Yeah, i struggled with both versions of this car. Over-steer and under-steer in the same corner? Luckily the first race was at Portland, a track that i know and suits my style, so i was able to focus on solving handling and tire wear issues and got a lot of practice while building a base set. I think most of the issues i was having was from the rear end locking on downshifts, so i went to a sequential shifter (rather than paddles) because i can control my own throttle blips better that way.

The change to the Enduracer's version luckily coincided with one of my favorite tracks, where i feel very comfortable. So again i was able to focus on handling and tire wear and enjoyed doing a LOT of practice laps. [with a nod and a wink to Johnny ("Assetto Corsa") G, we won't talk about the result :).]

But this track has never been a favorite and was just way to slippery to feel comfortable. I wound up using a 15 wing just so i'd know where the car was going when i turned the wheel.

As for the flying Porsche, gotta say that a was stellar "WTF was that" for the highlight reel!

    Result list problem

Aleksey Myzin was in the race without being on the signup list.
He was the driver in the only DPI Cadillac.
I'm guessing that someone gave him the password without thinking how this screws up the result system.

Please don't do that guys. It gives me a lot of problems processing the results.

Racing in an SRO event without registering can result in a site ban. Sharing passwords is never allowed and can also result in a site ban. Please do not do that. As John mentioned, it causes a lot of problems with results processing and we end up having to manually modify the database and hack the result files to get them processed. We have more important things to do with our limited time. Thank you.

    Nice race
I tried the circuit a little bit because the day before I had a 12h with ACC the moo pace was good because I feel very comfortable with this car!

I made a mistake in the end, I accidentally shifted into a corner and crashed, 60 seconds to fix the car.

I left very angry, I was running fast but my opponents were too far away.

Congratulations to all pilots and organizers

see you at the next races
