Good win @Jens Roos! You disappeared off track just in front of me almost half way through the race before I lost my connection, did you have problems too?
Thank you Chris, no from my view the cars in front was good, but can't say how your car was when I passed you. Maybe your connection problem caused the other cars to float around before it dropped (from your point of view).
Yes it's very uncommon, can think of once or twice at SRO, both related to overloaded servers with +30 drivers.
The final race results and therefore the series standings are pending due to Admin video reviews taking place, which are investigating live observations of more than one member blatantly disregarding track limits with 4 wheels repeatedly outside the white line before the entry into the Turn 5 Triple apex sequence.
This is not legal. You must keep 2 wheels inside the white line. We counted more than 20 instances of this occurring. If you were one of the drivers taking advantage of going outside the lines, you can expect a time penalty applied to your final results.
The sim capabilities for dealing with this accurately and in accordance with SRO rules do not align unsurprisingly.
Maybe going into details here, but it's more related to the track than rF2 itself, the creator must put in the limits to make it work correct. There are several tracks it work fine on.
It still doesn't work for our 2 wheels inside white lines rule at all times. The track developer defines his own invisible line for the centre of the car to be measured against, not the inside 2 wheels vs the white line.
Time penalties have been applied to two members for breaching track limits. Jens Roos - 20 seconds added to total race time resulting in a drop of 1 place in the finishing order Darrel Kruger - 20 seconds added to total race time resulting in a drop of 1 place in the finishing order
Yes, but we talking about an variance in the relative difference of 250mm between 1500 or 2000mm car width or +/- 125mm with an nominal car of 1750mm so implementation on the track can be rather decent. rF2 knows the width of the cars so an better implementation could for sure be done, maybe we see that after the new UI
Intentional or not, my car was over line to many times, congrats Barrett to post win. Also race well done by staying close (3 seconds) over the 1 hour race.
