Round 1 Brands Hatch GP - Thu Oct 1, 2020

After some tests with the DIV 1 and DIV 2 cars, unfortunately it is not a Div 2 track
Is how it is, i will drive the Lancia and will do my best. Current i can drive with the endurance tires and 40 liter a high 1:28.
I am curious what strategies you use in the race ( without a mandatory pitstop. )

 

Hi! I can not enter the server, kick me back to the menu while loading. I have downloaded all the files, copy...paste but it is not working. Offline ok.

 

Check if you have: drm_data_real_names
I had troubles too for that.

 

You should get a checksum error if you have the wrong version of Brands OSRW (I did, I had a later version from RD).
Kicked during track load is almost always a car error. Probably the real names patch as mentioned above, and ensure you have V1.3 of the mod or that would probably crash you out also.
If re-applying the real names patch doesn't fix it and you updated your cars by copying over the old ones I'd delete the lot. Then freshly install DRM 1.3, and then do the real names patch to that

its okay, like Tim i was running a later version of osrw but now i installed over it with your (ye olde) link all good.

 

looking at the times so far, Tim is the works team 935 and i am a plucky privateer entry

 

If Mr. Santini joins in then I may have to pick something that's actually competitive - unless he joins team K2 that is!

 

I'm curious to know what tires Michal set his laps with? I had to use the Mediums on a full boost qually lap to even get close!

If Matteo does join I may have to change my choice in order to actually keep up! (on the plus side Michal's times plus some setup tips I gained from the Ozzy touring cars this weekend have helped knock another .5 of a second off the K2's normal laptimes here)

To get us in the Mood - Taken with some new cameras I made while bored a month or 3 back. Rubbish at what I made them for but really good for big grids!

 

Technically speaking, as long as you're still on the same lap then you're racing - class has nothing to do with it.
AC should show you a blue flag when you're being legitimatey lapped

I think that here at Brands there will be a fair bit of cross-over between the fastest Div2 and slowest Div1 cars. Possibly right up to the middle of the respective grids - I've certainly got Div2 times that are faster than my K2!
