rFactor 2 Round 3 Belgium 66

Had rF2 since it came out but have had very little time with it to date. Couldn't resist running the F3 at these tracks so decided to give it another go.

Seem to have things up and running nicely now but haven't delved into car setup apart from gearing and slightly stiffening springs. One thing that bothers me are the tyre pressures. I usually aim for a conventional 10 degree IMO temperature spread with the middle being the average of the inner and outer but even with running lowest pressure I can't get anywhere near that. Is this just rF2 tyre model or am I missing something?? Maybe how it was back in the day?

 

There seems to be this quirky thing in the Rf2 tyre model. Lowest tyre pressures work best

DOH!!! I'm soooooo stupid.

 

God damnit. I'm too late. Darned rF2 always screwing up with things like this. That's another championship running I'm taken out of simply through technical difficulties.

 

Bit of a disappointing race for me. At the end of lap 1 I could not avoid the two cars crashing in front of me that were spining and flying all over the place
This caused a nackered front suspension that costed me a 3 minute pitstop for repairs. From there it became a boring race and in lap 7 I was losing concentration and crashed. Not that there were posiiblly positions to win but I rather had finished the race clean...

Very sorry about that Caitlin. I was hoping to race you on the track. rF2 is tricky indeed. When will they sort out these stupid glitches!!

That's the problem with these glitches. I had a similar problem to what @Caitlin Penny has reported a few weeks ago. It is inconsistent, quite unpredictable. You never know when it'll happen to you. Don't take me wrong. I love rF2, it's top in a few areas, but they need to tidy up things.
