Hi all Sorry for my last minute, drop out can´t make it tonight. To wearied sorry guy´s rather this then destroy some ones race. Hope you have a good race session.
I wanted to boost my mp experience ,so this last couple of weeks has been hectic in ACC with 16 race and 4 PC2 race. And as a not so talent guy, but a practice product it´s some hours try too be as well prepared as possible. I guess I took on more than I could manage again sorry for the inconvenience and for the small PC2 community. I will for sure be back at Knock Hill see you all.
I need your help mates!!! Yesterdays race was a disaster for me. I practiced laps with 1:33, a few 1:32. When going online yesterday tyres did not warm up, display showed them with blue temperature till the end. I was driving on ice, my laptimes were about 1:37 or 1:38. I am frustrated and have no idea what went wrong. Can anybody explain this mess?
Hmm another weird glitch with this sim Gerhard. No idea, but I was wondering why you slower than normal. Did you try it again after the race?
I think it could be that when you set the race date in PC2 it uses a representative temperature for that time of year, but I'm only guessing. I actually chatted with Ed about the same thing during practice when I noticed the track temp was 16 deg. When you practiced offline what date did you have set?
Thank you for this first hints mates. I will Check them tomorrow. I will report later to you. Best regards
You were right Ken, my offline setting was spring, the air temperature was 23 deg, track was by 36 deg. All clear about my times. But one question left: how to warm up the tyres under this circumstances? is it a setup thing? or did you guys have cold tyres too? Sorry for torture you, but maybe i can do more rounds with the caterham and i dont want to be lapped again
No fancy stuff with tyre temp setup, I got what the sim gave me or maybe I reduced the tyre pressures 2-3 clicks. I can't remember if I only did that in Practice and didn't keep it for the race.
i had the same idea after quali and reduced the tyre pressure, but without any effect LOL. Gonna try something for the next races, next round for me will be Donington. Thanks for your support.
I'm not sure how you find this car generally, but to me it is very sensitive both on the initial steering input/response and when getting on the power on corner exit. I've been working on it since race 1 to try and calm it down a little bit.
Its physics are a bit strange. Corner exits are very sensitive, i had a few times snap oversteer. Also spooky for me is, that its behaviour varies from track to track. Anyway, lets choose other cars for pc2 series in 2021.
