Now, I know this will be very hardcore for most of us but, I must confess, I love these cars... (Perhaps if not a full series, we could do a special one of these days?).

From my quick and dirty testing the protos are pretty unbalanced which is fair enough considering their age range, but even the cars from the early 70's are too far apart without some heavy BOP. A shame because the two 70's Lolas are a great drive even if they do look like picnic tables.

What do you people think about racing some road cars? I got this one off of some facebook page called ORS (Our Racing Simulator).

The original was updated couple of months ago, but unfortunately I didn't see that it had some horrible low ride height and a lot of grip on the tires. So the update will be soon linked for download on the Best Fantasy Tracks series forum
    link deleted

No TC and ABS as it was with the original 1995 car. Really challenging not to lock up or slide around. Stiff and understeery but tail wiggly full-throttling it out of the corners.

Two tire choices: street or semislicks with some more grip. Additional custom paints (and licence plates numbers hahah) easy to make through CM's paint shop.

Also, this one: Porsche 944 turbo cup, which ran in Europe but also in the late 80s in Canada with Rothmans as their main sponsor. You can catch some cool races on youtube of that era. I ran it a bit and it's fun, maybe a bit grippier than would expect, so not hard to drive.

Seems also to have been updated to v1.01 this September

Okay this time I'm actually making a proper suggestion:

I've noticed a lot of people want to potentially have a vintage series, but it seems it would be difficult to BOP A multi-car pack.

Therefore I would like to suggest this recently Released Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider F-Production SCCA Racing car that was released on RD. (No DL Link because of the Above rules that John Mentioned.)

It would probably be a lot easier to drive than some of the Nutso AC Legends Protos, and since everybody would be in the same car we wouldn't have to worry about differences in Pit stop times, tire changes, potential BOP requirements ETC.

Thoughts? It's still vintage, but it is a little slower and easier to drive than stuff like the DRM cars or fast Prototypes, and that typically makes it so that people don't have to practice quite as much or put as much time into setups and can race more closely as well.

    Well, I've proposed a 90s and 80s cars. Here's one from the 70s :)
I found this 1970 Corvette Stingray LT1 engined mod about when I began simracing again with AC last year. Some of you probably know about both the car and the mod. It was brought into AC by smallblockhero couple of years back. I really love this car and certainly am not the only one as far as I read some stuff about it. It was a quite good mod as it was, but sounds weren't working properly (not so hard). And lately I've been tweaking somewhat the engine power (was totally wrong), then tires, drivetrain and transmission, fixing lights, adding more skins, and other little bits myself (a bit hard). It's not the usual USA muscle car, so if you're up for some small block V8 street sportscar fun...

As far as DRM, and if people are not bored of it, I can propose one combo first - 1977/78 division 2 cars: BMW 320 vs Ford Escort. More comments in discussion thread.

    Hi All,
Hope it is not too late for another proposal. This one is from @Maxime Tendil and I. We've been thinking that a cup format with a good, original solid mod, could be a blast with such a great bunch of drivers around. The Ferrari 250 GTO has a great history and the original physics by Kunos are outstanding. It seems there are several skins packages that could add variety to the series and, with a good selection of classic tracks, we could have great fun and competition.
I've prepared a proposal video for those that might not have tried that beauty for a while (keep the likes up!) :):
