John just wanted to let you know im not gonna be able to make this race as im gonna be with family for Thanksgiving here in the States. Ill be available for the next race in Zolder.

I know that this is very offtopic and unsportmanship but if it's ok for all, I like to degrade to Div2 and took BMW 320 80. Meter by meter I hate more that Celica...and stupid Sebring is coming, one of my "I don't wanna race there tracks".

 

If it's ok, BMW 320 80 #33 for me please.

 

I did some laps here with different cars earlier last week just to see how it all goes. So, here's some good Sebring laptimes with only gears adjusted on each car. So it's pretty much a default setup, E tires and 30 liters of fuel. A track a little easier on tires than Suzuka x) maybe just expect possible overheating of the left rear, out of the last turn if pushing it too much.

 

Just had a little session online with Jos and John so I took out the Escort for several laps. I can't record and upload the video now so I got here a replay of three timed laps with default setup, endurance tires and 30 liters and only gearing changed slightly to a shorter final drive. Just in case, you need to put this replay file into Documents/Assetto Corsa/replays

Notice using the curbs and lifting just slightly as the wheels are getting over them hahah That light little car should be into 2:07s with some effort and in 2:06 with more practice and setup work. Take out some 3-4 seconds for division 1 cars pace x) Of course, best practice is as many laps as you can put in your car. After that comes setup work... not really a setup guru here.

 

I would like to drive a 2:08, open a beer and have fun. OK, i will reach a 2:06 with two beers and without fun So is a 2:07 the best laptime for me and the other drivers...
btw:What we will drive after the DRM?

 

I have recorded Filip's lap with the Escort in a video for all to see his master class lap around Sebring... It's definitively a great thing he opted for the Toyota in this series

 

John, I was asking myself since a few days : could you plz precise the rules for all the tarmac off-track parts of this particular track ? Always keep 2 wheels on the track itself ? All the wheels ? Free for all ?

 

This is an interesting point, John, and I would like to consider it within the context of @Filip Stoyanovich master class lap in the video, particularly at 2:00.0 in the Le Mans turn when he goes outside the track, to the left (note there is a cone there that Filip respects), in order to gain acceleration to carry in the Ullman straight... My view is that, as long as your excursion to the left respects the strategically positioned cone (for as long as it lasts on the track) you should stand the review of the Steward(s) but, could you confirm or elaborate on alternative views? Thanks.
