You do know that you're meant to wait and give back the position if you crash someone off the track?!?!? That incident gave me damage for the entire race. @Tudor Morris

And frankly I don't care about any excuses you're going to have for it because it cost me 2nd place in class. So thank you very much.

    Pretty good qualification ...
Race? The race is practically over in the first corner, sorry Filip, sorry. Such things were not supposed to be, but unfortunately.
I wanted to go to the end, I got a Drive-through penalty, but then another penalty came from the game, or from my computer, black screen ...
    The end

Apologies for the tap Mac it was not intentional. (and it was no more than a tap and not a ******* punt as you described it in chat). On the approach to the corner I backed off but then thought you'd seen me on the inside and had given me the corner but by the time I realised you were turning in I got on my brakes and locked up. I did actually wait at the exit of the corner for a moment for you to pass me but you seemed to hang back so I carried on. Check my pedal app in replay and it will show this.

Anyway, apologies again...it was a clumsy move on my part and I'm sorry that it ruined your race.

Hardly waited. I recovered to the track and then you just pulled away and kept the positon. Fantastic driving there.

Dang it  Should've put up a better qualifying effort but felt a bit tired and demotivated so only managed like 5th or 6th. After the start I couldn't see Michal going flat on brakes in T1 behind me but I doubt I could have done anything. Got spun around, a couple of bangs from and into other cars, more spins around me... damage all around and all the way.
Good chase afterwards to try and go for as far up as I can get up from there. Was a little put off by awesome fight between T3 division 2 cars, Toni, Mac and Jos. I had to go but at the same time I tried not to ruin it which was difficult with them running close. I went for lower downforce and still wasn't any easier passing fast cars anywhere and especially over these too long straights hhahh so eventually had a good run on @Mariusz Lebioda several times but only managed for some kind of a pass after too many laps. And with him on more worn tires probably. Then @Stefan Lagodin who defended quite well also for several laps, during which all I did a half spin while coming really too close on braking point towards second hairpin. Which was a sign that brakes started to fade by then already, or rather overheat. But eventually managed to grab that one too. Those were actually two greatest fights in the race I've had. Didn't have enough time left for Paul even though I messed up and kind of backed off thinking it was the final lap but it wasn't :D So many close fights on track so I don't know how much Caitlin managed to catch! But anyway, congrats to Tim for the win and Laurent and Paul for the podiums! I expected this to be a dominating win by either Tim or Matteo. Sorry to see it was done over fuel issues for Matteo rather than fight to the end.

Yep like I say, check my pedal app it shows it all. You didn't pull away because you had turbo lag, that's why I thought you'd held back.
I've apologised, short of hitting myself with a sharp stick I'm not sure what I can do.

I had to go for an all or nothing race, and what I've got is obviously nothing :D

I didn't expect to be that fast in qualif session, so I was surprised to be in front of Tim for a couple of minutes. We were separated by a bunch of milliseconds in any case, so I thoutgh I had a little hope. Unfortunately I played badly my cards at the start, releasing my clutch too early. Tim's engine did the rest, and I did a stupid attempt at pulling the braking going really wide at T1, with the solely result of losing another position in favour of Laurent, that I managed to took back in a couple of corners luckily.
After that I knew that the only way to fight was pushing like a mad. So I exploited 100% turbo to defend by Laurent on straights, getting back on Tim's tail before than expected, but overtaking his beast was almost a "mission: impossible" :D

I put myself in qualif. mode, trying to exploit a bit more than due my 100% magic button on the straight in the acceleration phases, but that wasn't enough to have a chance to pass him during the first sector to try and build a gap before the final straight, in which I should have had at least 3 tenths of a second of advantage on Tim to stay in front. However, that was only a movie in my head, as Tim did just a slight mistake during the first 25 mins or so, but that was right before the straight so I could pass ahead for nearly 4 or 5 seconds, but had no chance to keep him behind on the straight. After that lap I did my first mistake of the race, losing almost 4 seconds on Tim, but I managed to find the focus again, reducing the gap to 1.2 seconds... before I did another mistake that put an end to my exercise of hotlapping.

The race was slowly fading to the end, but....

But Tim decided that we didn't enough lap :D So despite I've put 4 litres more right before the start, I didn't calculate the extra fuel consumption caused by an "intense" use of 100% turbo all along the race. And, to be honest, I miscalculated the number of laps of the race, because Tim's pace was better than expected, crossing the line with only 4 seconds to go. In part I contributed to my defeat, and in part he did me a trick! I will remember about it! :D

Grats to Tim for a brilliant race, at least we had a taste of duel this time. Wd to Laurent and Paul for the podium. And grats to Toni for the Div.2 victory and the other guys on the podium.

Thanks to Caitlin for streaming the race as ever

P.S. I guess that is better for evrybody to file an incident report to the "stewards", instead of making videos and talking about this kind of incident on the forum. Tbh Tudor did a mistake, and he should have let you pass, but let me say that your reaction can appear a bit exaggerated Mac, considering the slight damage caused by that manouvre, even in terms of time lost. We are human, we make mistakes, and apologies should be always gladly accepted. Than you're surely free to submit an incident report. It keeps the competion more fair for everybody, and eliminate bad feelings after the race. Let these bad feelings to the "Pro" racers, we are a bunch of amateur simulating sitting on an office wheelchair (that's just my case tbh :p).

See you for the next :)

Mac, it is really a very unfortunate incident but it looks like Tudor is trying to avoid it as much as he can, perhaps thus blocking and making things involuntarily worse... Perhaps the biggest issue for div1 cars that are catching up with slower div2 cars is to consider their eagerness to overtake us in the corners where div1 cars can be more clumsy. I don't think they would lose that much by waiting a bit to the next straight where they would surely overtake us easily and without risking an incident that really can waste everyone involved huge time.
I'd also say, considering Tudor was a div1 car and faster than us, it was good he didn't wait (much) for you to recover the position as he would have immediately come back to overtake you and would have risked another incident...

I love your do or die way of racing Matteo. You certainly gave spectacle and kept Tim honest for a long while. And the times that it works (like Nordschleife) is truly amazing. Well done in your fantastic attempt on Sebring... And let's hope we can repeat the Nordschleife result at Zolder :D

Was barely faster than me anyway, despite being in a Div 1 car. But yep, should have just waited for a straight instead of going for a half-hearted move like this.

(Also, how do I even go about reporting an incident?)

If you want to to file an incident report, follow strictly the procedures described at the par. 1.1 in the underlying link.

    https://simracingonline.co.uk/threads/sim-racing-online-racing-rules-and-regulations.126/#post-834

Not that I did a strenous research liast time, but I had the same issue in finding this procedure, than Andrew Williams came to my rescue :). I'd suggest to put that argument as a separete topic in the "Sticky thread" list with a red exclamation mark ! :D (Wasring to readers: as I suffer from dichromatism in real life, that excalamtion mark might actualy appear of a different colour in your real life :))

    My thoughts:
Yes, obviously it was a pretty dodgy move, but Tudor has admitted that. No amount of apology will give your place back, obviously, so you're right to feel aggrieved. However, Jos Ogos raises an interesting point that having Tudor drop behind you might actually not be a good idea, especially since he is in a different class anyway, and whatever the case I think this is a little bit over-the-top considering incidents are supposed to be discussed in private or through incident reports.
I get that you're frustrated, and I think you're right to be, but this can be settled civilly. I suggest that @Tudor Morris should take a drive-through in the first few laps of the next race and @Mac Shepherd stop arguing in the public forum, please. Sorry.

It was a great win nevertheless Toni, congrats!
I think the only option we had was by overtaking you in the first few laps and then holding you before you could get into the rhythm and disappear in the distance :( as it eventually happened.
But your summary makes me think that perhaps @Caitlin Penny, in her fantastic stream as always, was a bit too generous in giving you the driver of the race...
Watching her stream, the dominant win of @Tim Muttram in div1 that had to fight strenuously against Matteo, would have been more deserving of that accolade. Actually, IMHO there were a few div1 cars yesterday deserving of it. @Matteo Santini and his do or die approach was really deserving and @Filip Stoyanovich's great come back after the T1 incident to almost finish 3rd in class...
It was good to see more div1 broadcasting yesterday as they engaged in great battles worth streaming. Great skills from Caitlin in picking up the most interesting action on track most of the time. Well done!

Another intense race and job done .
There were no mistakes other than a silly mishap with the throttle after the hairpin (getting revs up with the Escort in that part of the track is quite a challenge!). That was, however, enough for @Toni Talvitie to extend his gap over 1.5secs in the first part of the race and relax into the flow and the win (congrats again mate).
There were three clear stages in my race. The intense battles in the first part were great fun. Fighting, overtaking in the slow part of the track where the Escort shows better its guns, and being overtaken by @Mac Shepherd in the Ullman straight was a thrill. Then, after Mac's problem with the brakes at the Gendebien Bend, the second third of the race was a bit dull. A faint attempt to catch up with Toni and then settling in P2 and bracing for the battle with Mac again in the final third of the race.
That was quite a battle. I had to put everything I had to contain the faster BMW. My Escort's turbo was screaming like mad and the defensive moves plus the pressure on Mac after I was overtaken worked well. Congrats to Mac for the chase and attack.
Congrats to @Tim Muttram, @Laurent Londes and @Paul Anstey in div1. Thanks to @John vd Geest and @Caitlin Penny.
Something that hasn't been discussed as much as it was in Lausitzring is the T1 incident... I believe a very different race, with John and @Dennis Matzies fighting for the podiums on div2, would have been the case... It worked well for me though!
Enjoy the race from my angle here!
