rFactor 2 Round 5 Rouen 55-70

Congrats to Jos and Johnny for this very enjoyable race... Looking at the videos from Jos it sometimes looked like three fighter pilots having dogfights on the track... I had a great qualification lap putting me on pole. As expected from previous races it is not possible to break the draft without anybody else making mistakes. Unfortunately I did in lap 10 not knowing we were three wide and I hit Johnny and crashed in the barriers... Luckily the way I hit the barriers did not affect the handling of the suspension so I could continue without any noticeable difference before the crash... I lost 8s up to the leaders after I recovered and decided to push focussing on the breaking points now I not had to focus on two other drivers as well. I saw in the distance Jos and Johnny were side by side a lot of the time and I noticed I quickly gained on them. My lap times were L11 1.21.1, L12 1.21.0, L13 1.21.0 and L14 1.20.5 before I was back in contention and the fight continued. On the last lap I was too close to Jos to get a good draft on the long back straight and could not overtake him. While being side by side Johnny took the slip stream and I decided to take the outside and try to take more speed at the ideal line with most grip. However I timed it wrong and overshot the corner losing too much speed to stay in the draft. I saw the last seconds of race time tick away knowing this was the last lap... Better luck next time... @Ken Jagger Is it correct that lap times of different track layouts are combined in the list... Is this a common thing. I noticed I had the fasted lap time of the race but in the overview I saw lap times 10s faster... I assume that is from the 74-94 layout or am I mistaken.
