Shame you didn't give the other cars a change and only drove the Toyota. The Toyota is from my testing indeed not a good car, but I like the others very much :)

I've got 1 more proposal to make for a car mod. Let's see how you like that one :D = Reflex V12R.

I tried the Porsche, Panoz and Merc. Really didn't care for them

Seconded, IMO they're a little bit of a low-quality Rip/Simdream style convert. Keeping my votes for the One-make Can Am car and the 250GTO

Just spotted this - your cheque is in the post John ;)

I wouldn't describe myself as an authority on mods though - I've just driven a hell of a lot of cars from an awfully wide period over the last 20 years so generally have a good idea of how they should behave when mistreated.

I'll freely admit that late 90's GT1's aren't in my repertoire, but the RSS ones do feel nicer to throw around you have to admit

100% true. But the problem is that no one puts them up but me and they don't do well in the votes.

The RSS Pack is fantastic, I vote for an RSS pack or VRC Car whenever they get put up. I can spare $2.50 or $10.00 for a car we'll use for 12 weeks, but I can understand why sometimes they don't get a lot of votes if people are drawn to the "Free mods" aspect of Assetto.

I really wanted to put up the VRC "Chevrette" Imsa GTO Tube-frame GT car, but was put off by the low vote count of the other paid mods on offer.

On a more serious side of the things, I recently realised this AC league wasn't only about classic cars. o_O Am I right ?
It's anecdotic of course, but I'm not interested at all in modern stuff.

LOL, good one. That made me laugh.

There is no ban for modern stuff in this league. The league decides what we will drive, classic or modern and anything in between. As as you have proven, you can dismiss what you don't like and we end up with what the majority wants. I sleep on both sides of the bed and snore while doing that. :)

The Lola T70 has the most votes up till now. What I would like personally is that the CanAm 1966 mod would get even more votes, because that has the same Lola T70 in it and would give more variety to the car field.

Well, The Lola T70 is from Aphidgod while the other cars are from Bazaaa.. Personally there is enough good content not to go for Bazaaa mods. The mods I proposed also have top physics. I'm picking quality content only for this one and that does not include Bazaaa mods.

Bazzas mods may not be the best quality in the phyiscs department (maybe some of the car experts on here could offer him their services/input to improve them?) but you cant deny car packs like the GT and Touring classes didnt give us a couple of fantastic seasons of racing. Jut seeing and hearing these cars in action is great from a sim perspective for Historics racing fans. I thoroughly enjoyed them for sure. His recently released v3 of the GT pack (i quote "Version 3.0 (2020-10)Update pack to 2020 standards using the latest CSP features, to enable 24 hour races in the wet. All Physics and tiremodel rebuilt from scratch")
proves he wants to improve them based on feedback he must be getting, so give him good feedback on his site https://www.f1classic.net/viewforum.php?f=24 rather than critic here, they are free after all :)
RE the Can-Am mod, presume the car set has been chosen as they are decent enough and can compete with the Lola. I'd prefer that than a single make Lola series.

I havent tried any of the RSS mods but not averse to paying for them if chosen for a season. Not sure if the eras fit, but is not possible to combine a couple of the RSS mod cars with Kunos 90's cars to create a sort of BPR championship?

I wish Bazza and his team would work hard on getting a single series up to the quality it needs. And then move on to another one.

Sure we had fun with them in the past, but it could have been much better.

I remember running the Detomaso Pantera in a series from Bazza and I also tried the Detomaso Pantera from Pessio and Pessio's mod was so much better in all aspects and really more rewarding to drive. The same for the Mini Cooper which also had a version from Pessio which was much better than the Bazza one. I also proposed to run that one instead but it wasn't allowed. I think since then the Pessio mod is now used in the Bazza mod.

That's why I am not picking any work from Bazza for this one.

I was actually the Primary test driver for the TCL pack as I have driven most of the cars in it in Real Life. I'm impressed with how he gets the "feel" close on some of the cars, but am not impressed by the modeling work or overall accuracy as a whole package. In his attempts to make the car feel correct, he accidentally runs into huge bugs with handling or exploits for setups sometimes (See the Mustang from the TCL Championship for a good example of this.)

Especially since they've really been cranking out content lately and all modders get better all the time, I'm hoping the packs will improve where they're lacking, but grow ever doubtful with every release that some of the broken stuff goes unfixed.

For a league setting, I would vote for an Aphidgod, RSS, or VRC Car or Pack over a Bazza pack 9/10 times. Just my personal preference, of course. But "Oooooh shiny lots of cars how cool" never bests a single absolutely fantastic car on Merit, especially in a competitive setting.

Actually, on that thought, can I get the VRC Chevrette Put in as a formal proposal on the car voting page, please if it's not already there?

I did a series on SRS with this once and it was fantastic. If we use our usual 1-hour race format with this, there will for sure be pit stops with multiple strategies available, too.

Only the Chevrette and not the Audi? I thought VRC balanced them for online racing. For some reason I was completely unable to keep the Chevrette on the track.. I think the car was updated since. The Audi was a lot easier to drive and faster too if I remember correctly. I would be interested in a championship with these provided I can keep them on the track.

    That's a good question, Laruent.

I've driven a lot of tube-framed road racing cars in real life (Legends cars mostly) So I've got a massive soft spot for the Chevrette, also it eats tires a lot quicker than the Audi, so I think a 1-make with the Chevrette GTO only would be easier to Race than worrying about the potential BOP issues over a race run w/ the Audi , specifically in regards to pit stops, although I do also love that car.

I do understand the urge to race both in tandem. Just for the reasons previously stated above I'd rather just one to avoid any headaches. If you had any trouble driving it, I could for sure make some instructional material on the cars to share around since we have a very long time until the next series, of course, that's all constituent on it even winning the vote, which I doubt, but hey!

We got lot of time to do test races with most voted series and I think we must do so to avoid nasty surprices.

Single make would be easier for sure. I need to give this car another go. I know it had several revisions. It was completely reworked because the suspension was completely off at first, I know I drove both the first and second iterations but there have been versions since.
