Sorry, I didn't know if there was anything pre-planned! Just wanted to point out something I thought would be fun. I'm a sucker for public-road circuits and "Rings" in the old F1 cars :D

There will be a chance to vote for those kinds of tracks when the track-voting starts.

sorry not a fan of fantasy tracks and road cars for racing. That combo reminds me of the old arcade game 'Outrun'
Would have been up for a xmas special using the Lotus 79 though.

I tried it yesterday and it gave me a big Gran Turismo vibe. Tried the Barcelona track. Great fun but felt really arcade like.

With the physics of Assetto Corsa, so the driving is just like a regular AC track.

The car physics can be arcade like of course.. The physics really depend on the numbers being right :) Not saying that it is, it feels great but that car is such a beast in cornering as well  Quite unbelievable. Any information on the physics quality or origin of the mod?

Here is a lap I did. Like I said, very much fun.

What you mean about fantasy track? I've been driving in Barcelona and everything is same, streets, monuments, La Rambla and most of all, speeding.... Ok, fellow commuters is missing but otherwise is perfect. :)

Haha, I was wondering the same. Ok, the track is not a fantasy track so it does not qualify for a fantasy track championship :p

We would have to ask Filip who uploaded the car :)
What time of day did you set in Content Manager? It looks so dark.

Yes, the youtube video looks darker on my laptop as well.. 16:00 hours during winter, big buildings, seems about right.

Maybe I'm not too late to make a guess. We could exploit some actual street racing circuits of the Formula E for Assetto Corsa

At the link on the bottom you have a good list of city tracks used for ePrix championship. Obviously, you should look only into that belonging to category of "AC tracks", or "Assetto Corsa mods". There's a good number of them. Unfortunately almost every of them requires the installation of the Content Shaders Patch

That would actually be really cool if a car that won the vote matched it. Would have to be something really small, though, like a little Cup-car or similar small formula car or something.

Don't know who made the 3D model, and surely the physics and sound are OK but questionably accurate :)
I mentioned this in the F50 mod proposal post. ORS is the name and here's their facebook page with plenty of interesting cars at least to look at: https://www.facebook.com/AssettoCorsaORS/
It was good enough as it was for fun runs. I did some little tweaks before on this F50 but for myself, trying to get into modding a bit and to make it closer to hard-core. Like removing driving aids (because the car is supposed to be without them), adding brake temps (brake fading) and reducing tires' grip, little AI improvements, can't remember what else... so I can do that if you guys want it. Hopefully more people will find time for it and join. Personally, I like having a season like this with some more relaxing content.

I would say the physics are quite questionable indeed :D

What about the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo, that one is great in all regards!

Shame, we should have done that before. It's bad manners to change content after a series goes live unless there is a bug.

Agreed, the car has no setup options to speak of so it's just having fun. But it must be said that the car bites you in the ass if you don't respect it. It's a proper race car that needs practice. The tracks are pretty hard as well with some very technical sections in some of them.

Something that's low on setup options or doesn't have wings immediately makes learning car/track combos easier and takes a lot of the guesswork out, IMO.

About the other stuff of this modding team, I tried the Montreal and the Alpine which were less nicely done than this F50 imo. Though I must say that the guys are very open-minded and nice, and of course I welcome their work.
It's indeed so much a shame that this F50 comes with those electronics aids that are the traction control and the ABS ! It also has what could look like a slick tyres grip instead of semi-slick tyres.

But the car is very fun and nice to drive, so that I'm all for the Filip's proposal to go with a bit less grip and above all, without those damn fu**ing electronic aids which are a pure non sense as the car design was without them on purpose..
I strongly hope that the car will at least eventually be run with those off, I have to say that if the car was kept in its actual configuration I wouldn't get in this series as it's both a recent automobile history crime and much less interesting to drive imo.

Filip is working on the car as we speak to fix what's wrong :). If the result is successful, we will use that version.
