I'd like to thank Ken for the idea of this championship. I personally liked to race these cars for the first time, well most of them. It's a shame it hasn't been more of a success really.

6 Drivers dropped out after the first race, I hope it is not due to the BOP controversy of adding 100kg to the Brabham because honestly, that was not worth dropping out for. The car was still fast and would otherwise have been unfair for the remainder of the championship.

It is quite clear that opinions differ a lot between drivers. Whether to BOP, single make or not, reverse grid, fantasy tracks, vintage or modern, car packs or quality mods..
The idea could have been much more fun if we had a big grid.

Thanks to Ken, Tudor, Phil, Ed and Jos to show up regularly.

I'm happy with taking the pole in every round, and having 6 wins out of 7. The Maserati was unable to win due to much higher tire drop-off and was the slowest of the pack anyway. I think the car I liked most was the Ferrari LaFerrari at Road America, but then particularly on that track as well. It wasn't as much fun on other tracks. I know this view is not shared by all :p

Yesterday I was 17 seconds in front of Jos and took the gamble to pit to get behind him and try to overtake. Certainly no easy task with Jos as he always defends the inside line very early. It can really be frustrating haha. I was able to go to the outside to then be on the inside for the next turn at the chicane. That was my best chance. Overtaking on the front straight was a bit of an issue as Jos was not getting on the throttle early there with the line he was taking.. I would accelerate earlier and then be stuck behind him going onto the straight. Anyway, it was good fun and since I had already won the championship I thought why not..

Thanks again Ken, it was still fun!

I agree 100% with your thoughts about the BOP Laurent, especially as it was clearly advertised that this was going to be a bit of a "test" series to try out some new ideas. It was a shame to have some guys drop out because they thought it would compromise their championship positions, which again wasn't the point of the series anyway. Maybe I should've made it a non-points series in the first place.

What kept me away was that you need to choose different car for every race, too much hazzle. Maybe 1 car + BOP's for top 3 could worked better...

That wasn't the point of the series.

    From the series info thread:
"Members registering for the series will be expected to run each of the five car models at least once in the seven race series, rather than sticking to only one car, the intention behind this concept is to enjoy each of the cars on some of the interesting racetracks around the world and not just compete for race results."

What kept me away was the randomly added Ferrari road car (that was never included or even mentioned during testing for the series), which then needed all of the race cars needing BOP added so it could compete, and in turn ruining how the race cars drove.
The Brabham and the Zonda without BOP are great to drive. With 100kg, just kills the fun factor of them.

Thanks for your assistance in pre-series offline testing Andrew, it was much appreciated. Until a series actually goes live, many things can and do change, so testing does not define the final outcome.
It's a shame you decided not to enter the series or run any of the races, as it seems some members did not have any issues with the ballasted cars.

Surprised fun at the race Zandvoort. With only 4 cars in the grid, there was not a huge expectation but the fights with @Phil Brown and @Laurent Londes were great. There was a thin chance (and a naive mistake) for a win... Amazing pace of the Zondas but that could well be Phil and Laurent that are very fast in this type of cars...
Thanks to @Ken Jagger for setting this up.

Your videos do show the intensity of the racing very well! It's like being back in it @Jos Ogos !

That was pretty close with Phil for a couple of corners at the start there. I also like the thumbs up after I made the pass, very sporty! Well done.

Thanks, Laurent, and great drive. Your pace was brutal but I was holding you up pretty well . Your overtake was a masterpiece. Needed to be congratulated ;).
