This series is about reflecting back to the 1960's era when the leading drivers of the day were able to race multiple classes and cars, on the same race weekend, without being limited to only one discipline as is typical in today's modern racing environment.
For this set of events, all of which are being run at the same Belgium 66 track, you have the opportunity to run Formula 3, 2 & 1 classic open wheel cars of that period, in a sequential bi-weekly format. The race dates show which cars will be used for each race with three events for F3 and two for F2 & F1.

Due to the way our series registration works currently, if you register for the whole series you can only select one car class which will apply to all the races. For this variable class series you will need to register for each race individually, so that you can select the correct car class i.e. F3, F2 or F1 for each race. Do not register for the whole series as it will not work correctly.

Thanks @Ken Jagger. I've done so now but, whilst I can see me registered in each event, I cannot see my name listed in the overall series standings as it is the case for you for example. Do you know why?
For what I can see on the different events, @Caitlin Penny seems to have registered for the whole series with the F3 and @Gert-Jan van Osch seems to have registered individually for events but with the wrong car? (Always a faster car btw o_O)

I can see me now. Not sure what happened earlier. Ignore it.

Both Caitlin and Gert have been advised of the required registration process for this specific series and need to amend their entries accordingly.

I have signed up for round 1 as a taster as I haven’t used rf2 much. This will be my first online race using it, is it fairly straightforward? Not tried the mp lobby of it yet. Will we need to pit for this race? Again, never done a pit stop in rf2 so not sure what to expect/do.
Are the evo and spark cars evenly matched? Only tried the evo f3 so far. Spa66 looks tastefully done and liking the ffb in rf2 :)

Noticed that @Paul Anstey registered with F1...

Hello Mark, It is pretty straightforward... In multiplayer search SRO and you will find the server... Passwords are on the race page... Sometimes rF2 crashes when changing sessions but you can rejoin... CU on track.

Glad to have you with some of us rF2 regulars Mark.
Nothing complicated or difficult with rF2, even though some of us are still getting our head around the new UI introduced just before Xmas.
    No pit stop expected.
Yes they are equal, so it only depends on your visual preference.

I suggest you pit at least 3 times Mark. ;)
imo rf2 ffb is the best
new UI in rf2 is very intuitive and only took me a few months to find out how to get on to a track. Not the track I wanted with the car I wanted but I got there.

What do people think of the new UI?
    I find it very slow.
Annoying it checks for servers when all you want to do is play offline.
I go into Setups to save my setup only to find there's no save option that for some reason is on the previous screen. (gets me everytime)
I go into load a setup decide I'd also like to assign it to the car and the bloody windows closes so I have to go into setups and then load the setup.
I'm sure it takes a lot longer and many more clicks to get online now.
All my old setups are not visible. (you can convert them by adding a line I think. Did find what that line was but have lost the info now)

I've been using the UI for a couple of months now and although there are a few niggles I quite like the look of it but it is too slow to do almost everything. I also can't believe how long this took to develop it seems to have been in the pipeline for years.

i love the ffb in rf2, much better than iR or AC and possibly even better than ACC (which i think is great). The UI i am not keen on, though seems much better than the AC electron first UI :D Why do some tracks take an absolute age to load? Silverstone takes 20mins on my rig! and thats with a super fast i9 9900  crazy.

Talking of setups, if anyone wants to share one for these cars i would appreciate it and what is a semi-decent laptime around this track in these cars? i have no benchmark

That's not right. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to load up. Are you loading from a HDD or SSD? I found load times increased substantially after changing to an SSD. Not sure why it would take 20 minutes even from a HDD. Eeks :(

Definitely not normal for sure. I've tested it and for me Silverstone 2016 GT Layout took 2m20sec to load from a fresh start-up of rF2. After exiting the session, but keeping rF2 running, reloading the track took only 23secs. As a comparison Sachsenring GP only took 15secs to load.

NP for me, all my previous old UI setups are loadable from the new UI.

Just checked and yes they are all there. They weren't when I first starting using the UI so thankfully they must have fixed this. I save all mine in a generic folder and never went back to look for them. Excellent. :)

I've just registered myself, is there any way somebody can check that I haven't screwed it up?

Also, sorry if my entry is last-minute - Maddie is waiting on a new cockpit/wheel and I wanted to race if she could race. She's still not sure if she can make it or not but I wanted to register in advance anyway since I work on weekends and didn't want to forget. If I need to withdraw I'll let you know.

You have entered some of the races in the wrong class Ted, along with Sergey Aksentiev, but on this occasion we will amend our database to correct those errors :)

May I be so bold as to suggest a rolling start through Eau Rouge for the remaining events?

Can only imagine F1 will be just as bad / worse if we go for it, and really would like to make it to Eau Rouge before getting dented in future:):)
