Is it possible to open the server to test the cars? Quite new cars available to test, it is gonna take some time.

The starting type will be "standing" or "rolling"?
Yesterday i was in the server and i tryed to start for the race and the starting type was rolling on the server but in the description of the champ is standing.

I couldn't get on the server last night, being told some content was missing. I've bought, subscribed, downloaded and installed at the listed content. Is there a step I still need to do?

 

I also cannot join.

I have checked that I have all the required content, I have all except for the stand alone Bentley GT3, the Bentley is already included in the GT3 pack so the stand alone one shouldn't be a requirement.

There is a dependency Mod listed that is a duplicate - IMSA DPi - this is a duplicate of the Cadillac Mod.

P.S - I have double checked the list in the GT3 pack (GT3 Bundle), the only car not listed is the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO 2020.

 

I have checked and checked the content that I have and resubscribed each one including the track and DPi Mods. All the cars listed on S397 site are in my steam inventory and shown as subscribed.

The server is still refusing to let me on saying there is content missing, which there is not as I have everything listed on the round 1 post.

Sorry but I am also not going to buy the same DLC that I already have just because its name has changed from GT3 Challenger pack to GT3 pack regardless of 50% off.

P.S...
I have even checked with all of the track mods (including the new S397 Spa track purchase) added in case the server is running a package that contains the whole Championship set. Still no access.

Not sure what's going on, but i can access the server and my last Steam purchases were:


The Dec 24 purchase was the Endurance bundle 2 i needed for a different series at a different host (don't think i tested it before that).

The issue is probably with the Cadillac, but last version in steam shows v1.2 from May 31. Or maybe the way it's been specified in the rfm.

The Ferrari 488 is less likely, since you ran a race with these in November.

 

I didn't have the ferrari GT3 EVO until yesterday so that must of been the GTE in November.

I haven't purchased the S397 DPi. The only variant of the DPi's I have are the free ones from the RSS steam mod. This maybe the cause, the server is requiring the DLC version as well as the free one.
Its the only thing different compared to Barretts, unless.... please check that the corvette added to the server is the C7 GT3 and not the C8 GTE. Its the only other possibility.
@Barrett Erickson you or anyone that has the S397 DPi pack can check if these cars are the cause, just go to the games steam inventory and unsubscribe the C8 GTE and DPi modules then try and join.
Otherwise Ill have to un-register as can't afford to indulge in game purchases with the new lockdown in the uk.

 

I don't have that S397 DLC pack yet and it let me on a few times now so I don't believe this is the issue. I don't' have the Caddy or the C8 Corvette.

It looks like some people are thinking they need the new Caddy DPi from S397? It's ok, you don't need to buy it, we are using the free RSS Mod via Steam.

You say you are seeing the mods in your Steam workshop? Have you checked the actual packages screen from within RF2 itself? Just because the Steam workshop says you have it, doesn't mean it's actually there (if that makes sense).

One thing that has happened to me in the past is I had two versions of a track (both different version numbers) and the server got confused between the two and wouldn't let me join.

So it sounds almost like a version mismatch rather than something actually missing.

Please don't think I'm being critical, just trying to think of what's going wrong on your install to stop you joining.

Also from my side just a quick note for the admins. I created a new "team" name using the game but it doesn't seem to have worked, it appears to me on my screen fine but on the server I was showing as class "unknown" and bizarrely as an Acura not a Mazda. So I'll just drop the MAS file into a standard Mazda livery folder, it will show as car #77 instead of #7 for example but the server will pick the car up properly for results purposes. Not a big deal

 

No probs, I actually meant that the S397 DPi DLC had accidently been left in the server package file, which would cause the missing content problem.

This would require the SERVER file to be changed not everyone rush out and buy the DPi pack.
But if ppl that don't have the car pack can get on, that's not the issue.

Checking the loaded packages was the second task after re-subscribing last night, I checked each package was the correct version and was installed through the games packages menu. Its all present and the correct versions.

 

I hope you sort that out, if they changed one bit on the car it's going to get bounced.
My question: With the new build, I can't find the 'tuning' screen. Does the F488 have a 'leman's aero' package like the last build?
I'm going to need to pick up about 3 seconds to say in front of the 'herd'!
