Last time Monza - I was caught in an start accident and my race went down after 2mins - stayed in the race to finish somewhere near last position.
This time almost no big touches at all during start phase resulting in 5th place in the end . Seems i was benefiting a lot by all other cars crashing somewhere in between T1&T4.
But today, me luckily going somewhere in between through this total carnage. I think thats very typical for Monza, and I expected me again caught up somewhere in there.
What i see on public servers, its very hard to get a clean T1 and then everything down towards T4, especially here in Monza.
Anyway, for me it was a very clean race and I had great fun, but as said, this time I was lucky during start phase, for others it was mayhem :(
    cya next time,
    cheers Christian

    WoW guys

this track is famous for carnage.
i always say its the dumbest idea putting a tight chicane after a long main straight.
    anyways, we cant fix that.

the incidents however can be fixed,
please guys give each other room.
i watched the replay and saw many lads clipping cars and causing rotations.
lap 1 is the caution lap, please give each other room.

@Rob Milliken, sorry for tapping you on the T1 drama i was trying to stop.

Im positive that next race will be better for all of us.
good news everyone....... its NOT MONZA!!!!!

Well we can't not race tracks because humans decided to error out at this or that place :)

Race bans for causing lap 1 carnage with very basic criteria, you run into someone in the first 3 corners you can't race in the next one. Unless its plain as day that you ran into the other guy because he did something stupid. I would have had to serve this one out on probably 3 occasions by now, but if I knew there was a ban coming, it would only happen the once :p because the fear of a ban for causing a mess would (so I imagine) force people to treat it all with utmost respect. That or they would just never come back because of the ban...

But then again, we've been fine for the most part.

I’m sorry I didn’t finish the race, got tapped first corner got damage, so was pushing then crashed my self witch cost 30 seconds damage so early pit to come and and then pushed to catch back up and crashed again so struggled to 50 minutes to go to pit. Pitted and pushed hard and crashed again so was all my own fault. I must put more race practice in for the next one. I esc due to not trusting the car with the hole field coming up to lap me

    dont push so hard then.
try settle into a rhythm and then increase pace. (youll find it more injoyable)
after incidents the worst thing to do is to over drive.
    hope you finish next one

Drivers ! The race start for round 1 is under Admin review . This means a team of admins will have a look at the start . I can tell you (as you all already know) it's not pretty o_O:eek:.. A quick glance shows more than a few rule violations going on and some un safe re entries .. The carnage was massive but we cant penalize everyone .. Its hard to see exactly what happened as there were 3 major incidents taking place between T1 and T3 all stemming from one or 2 mistakes in T1.. It was mentioned in the forum to take caution regarding T1 and the cold tires/cold breaks .. Monza is no stranger to massive wrecks & mayhem these things happen in real life as well as sim driving. That said penalty's are coming .. We must be accountable for ourselves and respect the cars around us .. Results will be delayed until the admin review is complete !
Congrats to the podium & kudos to all the wrecked drivers that stuck it out ! sometimes it doesn't go your way & you have to take one right on the chin & its the part where you get back up that shows your true character , you guys are amazing sports & are the reason why we do this here at SRO ... We try to provide the best racing experience possible but this can only be as good as you the drivers can make it .. . This means we must enforce the rules to set the standard & today the standard was challenged !:D

i got off to a great start and for the first stint looked after tires and fuel. Then decided to overcut Custodio and was lapping more than a second a lap quicker than him after my pitstp but then i realized my fuel calculator was short by 5 laps. extreme conservative mode then got not one but two punctures resulting in two spins. was going for teh win with about 20 mins to go then ended 7th. Ahhh frustrating.

Yeah lost focus, was my first ever championship race so I’ll use it as a learning lesson to keep calm and settle back in, I’ll be there till the finish next time thank you for the advice

    Hello everyone!
I bought ACC few days back, so yesterday was my very first 'real' race on it (and this my 1st post ) So far i think i've made good investment from PC2, but there is so much more to learn yet..
From #17 at the grid somehow i've managed to get #9 on the first/second lap, ufff. Things were going great, but i knew many faster drivers that weren't so lucky would get on my tail any time, so i've tried my best to stay away from their way. But oddly enough, i hold on #11 for some time, so the pace was there. Unfortunatly seems the "safe" setup for the Honda NSX is broken because it has 0 rear wing. So after 8~10 laps rear tyres started to heat too much, and car started to spin at every turn  and basically it was game over for me. Crashed alone, went for repairs, got back on track, same hapened, was good for ~8 laps then it started spinning like crazy, so i had to limp to the pit and quit the race, sorry, my bad guys.
I'll try to fix the NSX setup for the next race, or eventually try another car.
Monza is one of the tracks i don't like, it's basically -> 'floor it' -> 'S turn' -> 'floor it' -> 'S turn' ... and so on.. BORING
Anyhow, Congrats to the podium and all the survivers and hopefully see you in Nurb (wich also has a killer turn on T1 after long straight o_O)

I can make a suggestion that works very well to cut out any lap 1 stupidness/selfishness like we saw last night. I race with Porsche Club GB and we use a Lap1 Orange zone which means if you hit anybody on lap 1 it’s an automatic drive through penalty to be taken within 2 laps. Trust me, it really works as it’s a big penalty hit so early in a race so guys are a lot more careful. It was lap 1 of a 90minute race for lords sake

Did my best to avoid all the early chaos, even took to the grass to avoid a car sideways on track but someone else blasted right through him and I still got punted into the Armco
Anyway, cracked on as it’s a long race and fought my way up from 20th to 11th with some good battles. By the time I pitted I was 7th o_O but forgetful me forgot to engage 1st gear with the pit Lane limiter so I got a 30 sec stop and go penalty :( this cost me a top 10 finish as I dropped to 14th place. Finished the race about 12th I think. The Aston seemed outgunned here on the straights by most other cars I encountered but may have been lap1 damage affecting the aero.

congrats on your first competitive race and having good pace. In regards to setups, I would at the very least recommen using the aggressive preset setup as it is much faster but even better, download a setup from someone else for that car. goes to show the skill you must have if you were lapping with good pace on a slow setup. good work. :)

I like it and agreed that it has to be automatic so its not open for argument and interpretation that is the only way it will work.

Well i wasnt expecting any of that as my first race here. Hard not to doubt the awareness of people. Qualified mid pack, happy my time was reasonably representative. With so many warning pre race i was quite surprise ot find when i came through the first chicne everyone seemed to be really polite but coming out i can see cars everywhere with no obvious path through so i start braking, are people behind NOT doing this? No, as i get hit from behind and spun around. Crawl back on the track at the back while trying to work out what the steering is doing when a BMW comes from behind going flat out. Can he not see us?

After crawling slowly back to the pits for 1min repairs only i kept to my plan of pitting later. So just kept my head down and seem to find i was catching everyone! even people in the top 10! I can only assume people were carrying damage? Had some good racing through the field though, sorry for any anyone i harrased when i was a lap down on them.

Was there a rule about cutting the first chicane in practise? i saw two cars go straight down the escape road, at speed. One, an orange Maclaren looked ot be out of control yet seeme to quallify at the front.
