Hi all. This is a big debate going on here at SRO of late and we would love your feed back on this matter. We are looking to make improvements to the site and sims we run. and would also like to offer things such as prizes. We need to know who you would feel about paying £5 per year to race at SRO. There is a poll to vote and you can reply to this post and have your say. Many thanks Wayne and Nigel.
5 euros a year ? Must be some typo. Yes, I would pay. Website, servers, race reviews; cost time and money. If you voted NO, I think the Staff and members wants to know the reasons.
We was looking into £5 per month but it was met with hate so this is what we have come up with instead. Thanks for having your say
I think 10 a year is a good deal so ya its no issue for me ..!.. The sim community is so fragmented, some leagues are thriving while others struggle to get drivers ..
Less than 10p a week. Well I'm unemployed and have health issues so money is very tight but even I can afford 10p a week. Sounds very reasonable to me. However you need to improve the attendance before you can start charging more. The events so far have a disappointing attendance. What are the plans to increase numbers? In my opinion slightly less events may bolster support and run the popular mods and tracks for a while until you get a good base of drivers. There are quite a few sites vying for this business so you need to start standing out from the crowd. I would say that even though I'm a massive fan of GT Legends this event may not be the best to run as it may only attract a small crowd. It wasn't popular recently at R2P. You can look to R2P to see what these popular events were. Advertise heavily on R2P whilst you have the chance. Deluge every post with an SRO advert. If you can find a way to broadcast a mail to each and every R2P driver then do it. This is the best opportunity you have to get the news of this site out to the massive driver base who are out there looking for places to drive. Take a look at XtremeRPM and https://simracerindonesia.com/. They are getting strong grid sizes. Just had a race with 20 on the grid. What are they doing to get this kind of support? These are only my opinions no offence is meant by my remarks. This is a caveat as some of my posts recently have garnered a strong response and have been twisted to mean other things. You can totally ignore me if you wish. As far as I'm concerned a fiver a year to run the admin, site, servers seems very reasonable. I vote YES and I will try and support your site in anyway I can.
Nothing in this post it was just for future reference. I guess you repost and make changes by using the reply button.
Paul brings up some exelent points he said what i was trying to say in my head but just couldent find the brain cells atm! Lol (lost them all in that race with paul lol ) Ive been usin social media to try and drum up some action and saw almost 50 drivers on the ACserver over the weekend ! But its dead again now lol going back to time trials over the weekend ! Jon vdg is doing a good job at r2p promoting his series .. maybe we need some grid girl pic's on the server !!! Lol
No problem for paying. Just need some available races to find. Also "create your own" policy at r2p was a success, and could be done also.
Check post 52 in RF1 general discussion and post 18 RF2 I put there asking what mods and tracks we could run. As of create your own that was unique to r2p no other sim site has that option plus you would need a lot of servers.
We are going to allow create your own you will need to sponsor the events cost negotiable. If you would like to create one pm Wayne or Myself to discuss the option creating your own.
