Sorry about you missing it Paul. Next time.

Congrats to Jiri, Michele and all finishers. It was tuff. I was catching Michele then the dreaded drive through came on. Oh well. Next time. Those LMP's are a mile back and then turning in on you when your trying to hit the apex. Nail biter.

See everyone on track for more learning experiences.

    What a race.
Always close with Jhonny. What a driver he is. I'm very proud to race against you and have beaten you.
After the pit Jhonny was faster than me because probably he changed his tyres, while i didn't. I breathed when he took the penalty, but I relaxed too much and 10 minutes from the end I too took the drive thrught. So last 10 minutes with Jhonny at 5 seconds to me. Wow. Thank you guys. See you next time in spa.

1st of all, server was doing much better today, I saw minimum issues related to server so good job admins ;)
(let's hope it runs this smooth with full grid next time too :p )

@Talvitie thx for this box lesson :p it was fun competing with you from start to the end even that we had big gaps during the race, we always get back to fight for the 2nd or 3rd position. :D

Then I'd like to comment that behavior from practice, where some GT car is forcing his line even that my DPI car is actually already on side of his car an he still keeps closing it even that he has rest of the track available. That is really stupid to do! In every league I can see few drivers doing it.. Even when it makes no sense.

And last but not least, I had only one contact with GT car during race, it was dark Porsche and we didn't make it through last corner .. he spinned out I luckily catched it. I hope I left you enough space on the inside of the track. I have no replay to check it out, anyway I'm sorry we had this contact.

So once out and 1 drive through, happy with result.

@Filip Fojt Good racing, traffic makes gap alive some.

Good fun guys. I had no issues with any of the Proto drivers and all overtakes were made with good cooperation and precision. I rolled the dice and decided to not change tires at the pit stop. That almost cost me at the end as Joe was catching me at about a second or more per lap. One more lap and we would have taken my spot on the podium. I think protos coming through at the end helped me build just enough gap. That was exciting.

Looking forward to Spa. Take care everyone and see you then.

Thanks for the apology Filip, there was space but not enough, I didn't get any damage from it.

DPi drivers need to understand that GT's are heavy!!! and that weight is in a taller car. As a result of physics, in the apex and exit of any higher speed corner they are going to slide wide. Due to this fact once they are committed into a turn you can't expect them to alter direction easily so why do protos insist in overtaking in a corner when there is a nice long straight right after it.

It is in the rules that " GT cars being the slower class, are to hold their line and be predictable, it is the responsibility of the faster class to pass in a "safe" manor."

That wasn't the only contact that I had unfortunately, I had an unexpected brake from a ferrari towards the start, damaged the front end and l lost 2 places, 1 from a GT crossing the pit exit line knocking me off causing further damage.

Then I ran wide on the first corner overtaking someone (think the same pit lane guy), I had no choice but to rejoin right next to him because of the solid concrete wall so did the courteous thing and lifted to let him back past where he then turned opposite to the coming corner and knocked me off. 3rd spot of damage and cost 2 further places ending in last place I think. That's what you get for having good track manors.

Not a good start, to the season, but not a terrible one either. At least my car didn't end up 3 laps down due to being knocked onto its side on the fastest part of the track like the last season.

see you all next time, (oh next week, better get testing!).

I've decided to chill my post. I come to SRO because there's rules and then I try to get to the corner of those rules with out breaking them. Sometimes I do break them and I get called out which is good because I learn. You got called out during practice by admins. Learn.

I T-boned a GTE Ferrari spinner on the back straight in the first half-hour. Don't know who it was. Game over.

I was back to the forum to post, and read Andy's post. Andy, I think that was me. You should be up front not back battling for the last place. Anyway, sorry.
Coming out of the pits I was in a drag race with Barrett, he left his pit just as I was rolling towards the pit light, I wanted to pass him so bad!!!! You came out of nowhere, my mistake! That pit exit into the first turn does squeeze down more than I had thought.
The third time, me too. I had the inside, I think you turned into me and spun or something. Sorry. I didn't think we hit that hard but it unsettles the car a lot sometimes.
Kinda fun seeing a little bit of action rather than clicking off laps by myself. You ran off the track on corner 1, I did the courteous thing and let you get 2 wheels back on the track, IMO. As far as I remember I left you a lane to my side.
Somewhere during the race I did close the door on someone when I just couldn't hold to the inside, but I was trying to leave room, always.
It wasn't me at the start cause I was 2nd from last. So I'm not responsible for all your problems. .. I hope. ... good fun, IMO.

Thanks Darrel, I tried to stay at the front but for some reason the damned tracks keep being 29 degrees every time! The tyres go up to stupid pressures regardless of how low you set them so once above 25 PSi, you have no grip, they always settle at 29 PSi in the races. The 12hr Le-Mans run in the dark was absolute heaven because the track temp was low enough that the tyres worked! they didn't go above 25 Psi and they had so much grip unless pushed too hard, that was such good fun.

I checked the replay and I must of been in your blind spot.
After my rejoin I was along side you but I was against the grass and had no where else to go which was why I lifted to let you past. You turned round my car to go past and then turned back to get back on line for the corner, which is normal. But unfortunately I was still just on the inside of your car which was what caused the contact on front corner that sent me back into the grass.

The one at the start was one of the front runners (might of been the one JVG T-boned).

Pit lane line.... I was at full straight speed and only just entered my braking point when you crossed the line. I definitely startled you from the way that Ferrari jerked to the side to try and move out the way but it then flicked back the other way and L-boned my rear right. From experience of long endurance races, I'd advise just don't cross the line at all.
Thankfully non of the damage was serious enough to hamper handling, maybe a bit of Aero loss but at the end, 16% left on the front left meant I could stay with you for maybe another 2 laps. I need to find a way to sort those pressures, think front left hit a record 190 degrees at one point! I'l be checking the Motec data to see.

Andy, sorry, I really don't like to run into people. I was desperate to pass Barrett!

Don't worry, after watching the replays most of these were racing incidents. I only put some bits as advice.

I understand you perfectly, Barrett was the main championship rival for me from the senna/GT3 series. I could keep with him but then the tyres would give out and he'd pull away. Frustrating ain't the word. I only lost out due to a very misunderstood rule with the escape key in qualifying.

Look forward to this Sunday guys.

Hi, I would like to apologize for my contact from behind with a GT in the last turn. But I looked for a way three times, and each time you crossed me. And then I didn't have time to react.

Hi Jiri,. I do remember coming in contact with you during the race. I'm not sure if it was this situation but I believe so because we did connect. I apologize for the contact as well. I believe we were both racing hard so it happens. Even more toward the end of these races. Congrats man on a good win.

From the sounds of it, everyone needs a lesson in lappery.... The main reason I signed up to this series is to be able to lap cleanly, and I've had to miss the first 2 rounds Cannot wait for the next round.

The rules in lappery is quite simple and have always been the same:
DPI -> lap GTE when safe, don't dive bomb, stay predictable, don't expect the GTE to give you room mid corner
GTE -> use race line as normal, if you can and it's suitable lift of throttle slightly or brake bit little earlier if the LMP/DPI is on your side.

Have to add...if car is at the side of you, you gotta give room. Dont care if your car slides or not.
