Don't agree with this at all. I'm not even in the series yet but those GT3 cars are heavy.

They slide no matter how well setup. The replay i've seen of one of Andy's incidents outlines this perfectly. He's on the inside line in the GT3 Porsche, right on the kerb and turned in as much as he can. The DPI going around the outside of him is in the middle of the track (with space i might add) Andy's Porsche slides mid corner as all GT3's do. Collision is made and Andy spins while the DPI manages to save the car.

You're saying you "don't care if the GT3's slide or not" - so in this instance, where do you want Andy to go? Turn off the road onto the Grass because a DPI want's to get past? Despite there being the main straight after the corner whcih would have been the sensible option to overtake. A lot of the GT3's i've seen in these races stay predictable and on the line, DPI's diving up the inside or trying to stick it round the outside because they are impatient is what causes most of the issues.

 

Have only done little LMP/DPI driving with GTE, but best (only) place must be on the inside of the turn to overtake an GTE?

If I have an LMP/DPI on my side around my brake point, I will not just brake and turn in as if the car wasn't there,
just lift throttle a little bit or brake a bit earlier and turn in after the LMP/DPI car, give some room as Toni mention.

From my position in this race, most passes was ok and most DPI drivers waited when needed, few bumps I had was with another GTE driver

 

Prototype on the inside before the corner (dive bombs don't count) I agree.

Prototype trying to go round the outside or force up the inside mid corner - no. (This is what was happening)

Most of the coming togethers are from DPis trying to overtake the GTs mid-turn, when they are already committed toward the apex or already in a sequence of S bends.

DPis go like rockets compared to GTs, just sit behind and wait till the exit of the corners then plant it and pass.

 

So you did it again.. Learn.

Hi @Admins, what is the server settings for the cockpit view? It's force for cockpit on practice, however during Istanbul race it was unlocked for view change AFAIK. I didn't check on RAmerica..
Is cockpit view forced?

 

My apologies for not attending this race. I was looking forward to it.

I’m afraid Guernsey has gone back into lockdown again and the website I developed for Marks and Spencer’s here on the island got hit very hard with orders.

so I’m helping work 60 orders a day with a great small team, also preparing the paperwork, and doing refunds at home and then dealing with all the emails from customers.

I’m just shattered each night. Haha.

I’m going to try and get a good nights sleep on Saturday so hopefully I’ll be there for Sunday.

really annoying though as I’m loving the car and the series on here but not finding much time to practice now and some of you are so fast In these cars I really need to.

I’m not after sympathy but just explaining my current situation. I could do with a bit of proper lockdown so I can have a rest. Haha.
