I got it by deleting the sro login folder or something like that, to find the path would be where you have steamapps/common/ installed and look for vmods SRO.
In my case it was only a folder or a file I think I remember, I hope I can help you friend.

I see there are two track mods listed. One pay, one download. Do we need them both?

Anyone having problems getting rf2 running on steam/computer this morning. Mine seems to have gotten all messed up, it will not even launch.

 

Can I say this as well? I don't feel like practicing!! Lol. Maybe practice less and have more fun on the track. I don't know.

 

I still cannot get rF2 to run, was there an update?
It goes to steam, with the little dark grey box, then within 3 seconds disappears. Since this is through steam, I can't find any help. Task manager has 'rfactor2 - steam' running at .1%, but nothing ever opens the sim.

 

I wish I could help but don't know what's going on. Any one?

John, are we permitted to use the le mans aero for this race, as there seems to be a significant performance delta between the two aero setups. Just wanting to clarify.

Darrel, have you tried verifying rf2 files in steam?

 

Try removing your plr.json file (move it out of rF2 install and rename it) and the game will build a new one on next startup.
Seeing more of this lately, and the symptoms you describe are in line with others that somehow end up with a 'corrupted' plr.json file.
Worked for 2 others yesterday, hopefully will work for you as well.

 

Also (since I appeared to have just popped out of the woodwork here...LOL) I'm interested in taking part in the race today. Signed up, got red light. If anyone is not going to make it, would be nice if something could be said and someone would unregister so a spot is not wasted.
Assuming I can still join practice server and then leave if necessary before the race, and if the grid is not full, can stay and race.?.

 

where does one find the aero setup?

 

Where you select your car > 'customize'

 

Are u running the latest build? .... the only thing in my customize is the car with 6 paintjobs and whether I want position lights on or off.
