Thanks Johnny. Would also like to hear from drivers who raced at Istanbul and had network latency issues. Any improvements?

Started 4th and finished 4th. So nothing gained, nothing lost. But I am a bit disappointed.
In the opening laps I punted Roman Prikryl braking for the last chicane. He didn't lose the position, but I still did a drive-through.
I guess Roman braked a bit earlier for the car in front of him. But I was very late on the brakes, so my bad. Sorry Roman.
In the middle of the race I got my third cut-track warning and a Stop & Go penalty for going outside the line. That was a real shame because I was still in the fight for third place.

First time driving with CrewChief and let Jim calculate the final fuel load, because I always end up with too much fuel in the end. That worked out pretty well.

Isn't it dangerous? There is a fault in the brakes in every turn. Every exit full throttle. The same category, there is nowhere to overtake safely. It looked like driving without training.

Small point of order, but this rolling start was appalling from all the DPi's. 2 wide at 60km/h? Nah, single line at 120 is fine. Leaders should be penalized (but I can't raise an enquiry because I wasn't even there!). https://clips.twitch.tv/DelightfulEnticingDiscBrokeBack

He was on the racing line, it's your responsibility to get past, and what if he hasn't had any training? Surely league racing is the best place to learn. IIRC, it's one of the younger driver's dad behind the wheel there, and I tripped over him because he was driving much slower than I thought. Just learn that not everyone is at your skill level and drive accordingly.

Admin in the game wrote 120 km / h and my position was to the right

120km/h, then 60km/h for the start line, double wide. If the car behind you can't catch up, slow down.

I did tell Jiri to go at 120 km/h and gave no instructions to go slower before the start line. So he did actually nothing wrong.

That's not how he wrote it before the race.

Must've missed that from the new UI. Understood, apologies for jumping at you Jiri. Still, the GT3's looked epic into T1, shame we couldn't have that with the DPi's

What was the problem with your engine not starting on the formationlap?

  13. Eike Sky

No idea. It wouldn't start when I purposefully stalled it post race either, but it works in single player. Might be a Spa-related issue, might be server, I'll test at Kyalami and feedback if I'm still having issues.

Make sure you map the starter and ignition button :)
I use that to shut down and start up the engine in the pits if I have to sit there for a long time so it doesn't overheat.

Already done. as I say, I tested it post-race in single player mode and both buttons work, it's just on the server it doesn't. No idea why

The main problem here is this guy was under BLUE FLAG from Jiri. Other thing is going 8 sec slower per lap is really dangerous for others, since it's hard to expect his early brake points etc..

Actually you deep dived in my car, not Roman. I was breaking just on time, you missed the brake point. I have to say I was struggling in slow corners and lost my pace since than. However I had connection lost anyway (probably due to hard snowing) so problem was solved..

Glad you are happy with Crewchieff, I think it's really "must have" for multi-class racing.

Oh, it was you. Sorry again. The braking was indeed very late and I apologize for punting you. I did a drive-through for it, so it destroyed my race too.

Yeah, CrewChief is a keeper :)

I actually don't run CC anymore because he's a massive distraction. I've got a simhub dashboard that silently tells me everything I need, from tyre/brake temps to what cars are around me at any time. Gets confusing around the pitlane XD

Looking forward to competing with you at Kyalami John. Really found a sweet spot with the setup that, if I'm lucky, will work at kyalami as well as spa
